So cute So colorful
Me and the Hubs love to cook. We like the whole process; the prep the cocktails, all of it. I like to have little dishes that allow me to have all my mise en place in place, so to speak. Big enough to hold a bunch but small enough not to take up too much space. The colors are sweet. They're thick but not bulky.

Attractive Look nice on table
These are just too small. I cannot put a decent size of anything them. Desserts. French onion soup. Fruit compote. Just too small to be practicable.

No safety verification re Chinese made ceramic tableware/cookware
The set of 6 green ramekins look nice and a prefect size for a dessert serving. Also decent for sauce dips or to be used as candy or treat dish. Can well wrapped in a box so no damage to any of them. However there was no pamphlet with them and the only marking was on outside of box “Made in China”. There is no markings at all on the ramekins themselves, not even where made. They listing states the following: “lead-free and non-toxic ceramic” and “ceramic.oven safe , microwaves safe, dishwasher safe, and freezer safe”. However there is not clear indication to verify that included with the ramekins. It is very important to ensure this information has been verified when using these types of ceramic cooking/ tableware. We put all six ramekins through dishwasher before first using and came out with no problem. Have not used in oven and when one bowl was put in the microwave with a cup of water in it, the ramekin became very hot and that was only for less than a minute. Would not like to heat it up longer than that if it became that hot in under a minute. According to information from the FDA website about such porcelain tableware there should have been at least a CCIB Sticker/Logo on the packaging which there was not. (see below***).***Obtained from FDA website: “On November 9, 2010 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of CHINA (CNCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) pertaining to the safety of ceramic tableware produced in CHINA and exported to the United States……… specify that each shipping and retail carton of ceramic tableware be affixed with a sticker/logo of CCIB/CIQ embossed with the unique factory code number of the production facility that produced the ware. The sticker/logo provision of the MOU serves (1) as an additional means of identifying a particular consignment as having originated from a CNCA-certified factory and (2) to facilitate trace back of a consignment to a particular production facility in the event of any instance of non-compliance with applicable FDA action levels for leachable lead and cadmium.”Even though this FDA ruling applies to USA, I rely on seeing such a sticker for Chinese made ceramic tableware even if sold in Canada. We will not do any cooking with this ramekins and if food (candy, nuts etc) is put in them, they will lined with plastic first. Therefore not even suitable to sauces or puddings. Some people will see no problem with using these ramekins without a logo verification to make sure they are safe as cookware or tableware, but our family is not one of them.
