BUCKTOOL Bench Belt Disc Sander for Woodworking,4x36" Belt,6" Disc,5A

BUCKTOOL 5.0A Belt Disc Sander 4 in x 36 in Belt and 6 in Disc Sander with 3/4HP Direct-drive is exactly what I needed. I use both the 4" x 36" belt and the 6" Disc Sander. It seems very powerful and doesn't slow down or stall when in use. I am a serious woodcrafter and an artist. I do artistic woodcraft. I have used a old Sears Craftsman sander for many years and it finally died. This new BUCKTOOL 5.0A Belt Disc Sander is so much better and doesn't slow down or stall like the Sears did. I am so happy with this tool. It is not that much more expensive than the other sanders on the market. It is definitely more than worth the extra few dollars.

Ok I’ve used it two times now and I have no problem. I’ve seen the other reviews good and bad and in my opinion this is a great sander lots of power , a very stable and heavy sander compared too others I’ve looked at. My only complaint is the vacuum ports are too small I have a shop vac. Like many others, trying to fit that is going to be a problem but I’ll over come that. I would recommend this sander. Only one more thing the shipping box is good double box & staryfoam now if you can get the delivery company to not drop it or man handle it you would have a winner.

Bucktool is a great brand and of course this is a great sander but there are a few things about it that I don’t love….for one, I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to tighten the belt. It’s also not intuitive on how to adjust the belt to sit upright or lay flat. You have to use an Allen wrench to unlock this one part and there you have it. I don’t like how the leveling pieces do not easily attach and require a screw to stay in. The disc sander level does not stay in at all, but that could be user error. But for almost $200, I expect a little more.

Great power for its size. 5 Amps I believe. I replaced a smaller, 2.4 Amp belt/disk sander, that just didn't have enough power to do the job; but I didn't want a full size 6" belt/disk sander. This is the perfect size, has a small footprint, runs fairly quiet and has a decent amount of power. Very happy with it and would recommend it. This is the second BUCKTOOL I have purchased. I LOVE their quality. I also have one of their grinders. That tool is incredibly quiet, balanced and does not vibrate and dance around. Great tools!

Just rec'd my new Bucktool Belt Disc Sander. It was packaged well and delivered on time. I've only had a brief time to play with this new tool but it appears to be well built. The direct drive feature is why I selected this sander, so I don't have to deal with broken belts, etc. Set up was simple. It has guide fences for both the belt and disc so you can adjust the sanding angles up to 45 degrees. They are light duty and won't withstand a lot of pressure or force but for light work that I will be doing its acceptable. The packaging says 5.0 amp, 3/4hp which doesn't exactly make sense. 5.0 amp is more closely related to 1/3hp, but it seems to have plenty of power. Can't wait to put it to work.

Great all purpose sander for a good price. Check all reviews this is the best sander in this price range. Easy set up and easy to use. Replaced a 40 year old sander and this one is much lighter and quieter. Both a belt and disc sander. A must have for home or even commercial use at a minimum price.

I put a 36 grit ceramic belt on it for inital profiling of vintage axes, some of them of steel alloys in the upper Rockwell 50s, too frustrating to do with files. It's heavy and stays put. I like the security no matter how I position it. Stays firm. NOT crazy about the miter attachments, which are sloppy in the slots, but you know what? I can make those work. Not a deal breaker. Main thing I was worried about was if it had the power it was rated as having. It sure does! Powerful belt sander. Been using it pretty much nonstop since I got it. One thing: I have not yet tried the vacuum hookup, but really should have. Got a mess on its dedicated workbench now. And yep, found out that when you're grinding steel, wear a facemask. Your nostrils will be lined with metal filings if you don't. Did that the first time only. Weaing a mask now while using it. Unpleasant and probably, of course, unhealthy. Include a 3M cartrridge mask or the like when you buy this. Haven't tested the vacuum setup yet, but I'm going to suggest I wouldn't trust any vacuum system to keep you from breathing metal dust. Get a mask.

Great belt sander for amateur builders. Easy to put the attachments on. And easy to adjust. Switching belts was also pretty straight forward. The dial to adjust the belt position makes it simple to keep the belt alignment. I would rate this 5* as it is a workhorse but if I spent more money I would have expected some refinements. Overall happy with the products. Cons. The adjustable tables don’t always stay at the set degree. So I’ve had to make sure they were in the right position multiple times throughout my sanding project. Sadly this messed up 2 pieces I was working on. So now I check to make sure the angle is where I need it. Also don’t trust the guides. They are just screwed on, and move around. The dust collection is a little awkward but not sure what else could be done.
