Worked perfectly
I bought this for my first time replacing piston rings in a vehicle. The tightening mechanism is stout, and the thumb tab loosens the band with just a push (make sure your hands are around the band when doing this, otherwise the spring tension of the band makes it quickly snap open too loose). At first, I thought the allen wrench supplied to tighten the band could have been a better design, as it makes it too hard to tighten the band after a certain point. After installing my four 3.150" pistons, I realized that this prevented me from making the band TOO tight. As it was, the band was tightened the perfect amount, compressing the rings just enough while still allowing the oiled piston to be easily tapped into the bore. No problems with the band itself being tapped into the bore along with the piston. Judging from the construction quality of this tool, it will last me a lifetime even if I start replacing piston rings on a regular basis (which hopefully, I won't).

Easiest ring compressor
I have several ring compressor, some quite old but this one worked excellent. Holds the piston firmly and very easy to adjust to get the correct compression and alignment.

Poor quality
The media could not be loaded. After installing 2 pistons, the latching/hold mechanism quickly wore out, thus releasing the oiling ring and secondary ring, while tapping the piston with a wooden end of a mallet. Again, it happened in the middle of installing my third piston. Cracking the secondary ring scoring my piston. The hold mechanism bends inward causing it to loose its tightness on the rings. This tool is not worth the money!

Best affordable piston Compression Tool !!!
I used this compression tool & I had my doubts but once I tested it with a old piston & old rings I came to learn that you will need plenty of lubricant in the cylinder bore & Piston Rings it will make your life so much easier & Ensure all the all the rings are compressed probably before install. :)
