Works but not brilliant if you want to use Windows Extended Display
I don’t write too many reviews. I’m only doing this to try and provide info to others. This does work as KVM but only really usable if you intend to use only the attached monitor. If you wish to have one or more laptops where you have both the laptop screen and the main monitor (in Windows referred to as Extended Display) there is an issue. When you switch away from a laptop the windows on the main monitor are all moved back to the laptop screen, as if the monitor had been unplugged. This means that every time you switch back to that laptop you have to rearrange your windows. I have only used this with Windows 10.I think this is because the KVM is not supplying the EDID data to the laptop constantly. You can see that the laptop is also behaving as if the laptop is having the keyboard / mouse plugged & unplugged when switching. To be fair the product description does not claim that it is EDID compliant.I got round this by using multiple inputs on my monitor. I switch the keyboard / mouse using the KVM and then selecting the monitor input source using the screen controls.UGreen have responded to my support question, which is more than many companies would, so I would not have a concern about buying one of their products again; but I would not have brought this KVM if I had known more about KVMs beforehand.

Works brilliantly
I took a chance in this device as it didn't have any reviews when I bought it. It ended up being a great choice! This is a very compact, lightweight KVM switcher. It has 4 USB ports and ports for 4 devices. I needed it to connect 3 laptops to one screen, a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard.I had no problems connecting it at all! I have one network-locked laptop that is only used for emails, meetings and chat, another with specialised design software, and a third that is my personal laptop. This switch has made it possible to pretend that everything is all on one machine. I am planning on mounting it to the side of my desk so that I don't see it at all. It's currently sitting in my drawer until I do that. My desktop is very happy now that it is clutter-free!Important things to note:1. I thought that the description said that it includes all cables as most KVM switches do, but it only includes the USB cables. It does not include HDMI cables, so make sure you have enough of these at home or order some at the same time.2. The little ports are on both sides if the device, which I find a bit irritating. The HDMI out (the one that connects to your screen) is on one side with two device ports. The opposite side has the power port and 2 more device ports. So, even if you only wanted to use 2 devices, you would still need to use ports on both side of the device, one for the HDMI out and the other for the power. If they were all on one side it would look neater, but it would also be a lot larger. It's a small trade off for such a small device. In my photos you can see what I mean.If you're planning on working with laptops, make sure that your power settings are applied in a way which will allow your screen to show even if the laptop lid is closed. Also, make sure that you're using the right button to switch to the right device, otherwise you'll just get an error message on your screen if nothing is connected to that button 😊

Just works (and I have some quite odd requirements!)
I've got rather an odd setup where I have my machines in one room, about 5m away, and my screen, keyboard etc in a nice quiet room and have been using a video/usb over CAT5 extender solution for about the last 20 years, first on plain old VGA then DVI-D and now DVI-D-DL. My current setup maxes out at 2560x1600 and I wanted to get a 4k monitor so started looking at how much it would cost me to upgrade an Adder X-DVIPRO-DL and an Aten DVI-D KVM to something that would do [email protected] started by buying a considerably more expensive 4 port HDMI KVM that had quite good reviews and looked very flashy but when hooked up to the 4k over CAT6 extender, would not allow simultaneous use of mouse and keyboard, if the mouse was plugged into a USB port then it disabled the keyboard and vice versa. Not so much a KVM, just a KV. That one is on its way back.Had good experience with a couple of other UGreen items I've bought so figured I'd take a punt on this at £50 and it arrived earlier, I've plumbed it all in and this one Just Works(TM). Yes, it's small but for me that's an advantage as it can be hidden away. It does 3840x2160@60Hz, routed through an HDMI/USB extender. The Scrolllock-scrolllock hotkey switching works perfectly though it's going to take me some time to get used to _not_ having to press SL-SL-1<Enter> - on this one the <enter> is not needed, it's already switched. I even get 4k@30Hz on an older machine that the Intel specs say should only be capable of 2560x1600 via the displayport (I'm using a DP to HDMI active converter) so I'm getting better than I was figuring I would. It's also working with a Corsair Strafe mechanical keyboard and a Logitech trackball with their universal USB dongle thingy. No fighting required to make either of them work. Also, contrary to some of the previous answers in the Q&A section, this does appear to be HDMI 2.0 not the 1.4 it says in one of the older answers from UGreen. All that and it saves me £110 over the original.

Good but the design could use some thought.
Does the job well enough though given its design, having screw mounts on the underside would make it easier to hide out of sight as it has cables spilling out from all sides. If you want to use the keyboard shortcuts, your keyboard has to have a ‘Scroll Lock’ key and the keyboard has to be plugged in to the keyboard port on the side as the other USB ports are not monitored. To switch between the four ports you double tap the scroll lock key followed by keys 1-4.I am using it with my gaming rig and work laptops and have had no issues so far.
