Mozzarella Whole Milk Loaf 6Lb

I received this Mozzarella soon after ordering. It was extremely well-packed, inside of the sturdy outer shipping box. The loaves were well-wrapped in a thickly-padded aluminum insulation material (Similar to the thin, metallic warming "blankets" often used by emergency services.). Inside of this there were several, still cold, ice packs. It was so well-packed and insulated that it took quite some time to eventually reach the two loaves of mozzarella. I might add, we are in the middle of a heat wave, making the still cool loaves of cheese even more impressive. I have never received a food item from Amazom that was this well packed.Now, on to the cheese itself. There were two large loaves of Mozzarella, tightly vacuum-packed.. As soon as I opened one of the loaves, I received the unmistakeable aroma of a rich, milky, and refined, high- quality Mozzarella. I cut some of the outer layer of cheese away, to be able to conduct a reliable taste test upon the well-protected center of the loaf. Again, the aroma was quite noticeable as being that of a very good Mozzarella.I tasted a thin sliver of the cheese, after first warming it in my hands. This procedure would allow for maximum release of flavor. I had not really expected that much from this cheese, being a strong proponent of the Italian version made with buffalo milk. However, the first taste immediately reminded me of the taste, texture, and richness of a top-flight Mozzarella.. Unlike other cheap !ozzarella loaves, this cheese had all of the attributes of the pricey Italian varieties, sold in the liquid from the Mozzarella-making process.This cheese is a lovely melting Mozzarella, remaining soft and tender when melted. Unlike other cheaper brands, it was not akin to eating strands of elastic when melted. I have rarely enjoyed such a richness of taste, the incredible milky aroma, and the lovely texture that this Mozarella provides.My review may sound excessive, but Mozzarella this good, and at an affordable price point, deserves much more praise than anything that I have written here. As a disclaimer - I have absolutely no connection with the company,, or any individuals producing this lovely cheese. I decided to take the risk and order this unknown brand, after being completely turned-off one time too many by the dry, tough, and flavorless offerings of grocery store Mozzarella loaves.I highly recommend this Mozzarella, it is in the upper ranks of some of the best that I have eaten and cooked with.

It arrived hot. Ruined. I paid plenty for shipping and this arrived a week after the date it was shipped.This 1 star rating will remain until I get a refund or a replacement of my order.Flavor of the cheese was great the first time I got it but I can't eat cheese delivered hot.

When I received this cheese I thought it was too soft. BUT- I put it thru meat grinder- put part in a ziplock to freeze then I made 5 large pizzas.The true test is how it bakes. It puffed a little, did NOT make puddles of grease and water. I let mine toast brown in spots. Then I cut and pulled a piece out. I got stretch and snap. Then I chomped into a piece and the texture was full and chewy, NOT slimey soft like cheap brands and a leading brand I can't mention. The taste was really good with a hint of tart.This is great mozzarella for the price. Im going to make lasagna next with homemade noodles.Store-bought cheeses are so cheap anymore. All the milk solids are removed and replaced with cellulose, water, starch, fillers and its not cheese anymore, just slices goo. This is worth eating. I WILL buy it again bc I want milk product- not fillers and oils. REAL CHEESE PLEASE and THANKYOU

Seller was so helpful when my cheese took a bit longer to get here...it was sent 2nd day mail priority, but I guess the USPS was swamped. I sliced it into 1 inch slabs and then sealed them in my food saver, placed into freezer leaving 2 slabs in refrigerator for immediate use. We are older and have stayed in the house since the lock down, ordering what we could find on line so this cheese was a God-send! Melted over pasta, over chicken, on a burger, and just with crackers. So our protein needs were complete! Oh, and the pups got some bits as treats too and they loved it! At first the price seemed steep but the cost per slab when cut and sealed and delivered to my home was about $4 each which is less than at the deli, and this is truly deli quality cheese!

I'm on my second loaf of this excellent cheese. I am not a cheese expert, but I've been making homemade pizza about 3 times a week for about 40 years and recently learned from Tony Gemignani's fine book about the virtues of whole milk mozzarella which hard to find in my area. Found this and thought I would have to freeze some or find someone to share it with, but I found that the unused portion, wrapped in plastic, kept just fine in my fridge for a month and a half w/out growing mold or losing any of it's excellent taste. I love mixing this with various whole milk provolones I find. Browns beautifully! Oh, and the delivery time is excellent, allowing me to plan just-in-time delivery. Thanks!

This did not taste like mozzarella it was more like American cheese it was not good on pizza at alllike a bate and switch. I would have returned it but didn't open it up till after the time was up.very disappointed.

ordered on the 6th they shipped by USPS. arrived on the 12th. I was worried it would be spoiled and hot, I WAS WRONG, ARRIVED STILL COLD AMAZING! PACKED VERY WELL AND COLD, AMAZING. GREAT BUY!one big great block of cheese. these people know what they are doing!
