Head too big.
It was a beautifully made helmet. For whatever reason, it was a little small for me. I used a sizing chart I saw somewhere; but, I guess either it, or my head, was a little off. Thankfully, the company authorized the return of the helmet, which shows they are considerate of things that could go wrong. Anyone interested in purchasing from this company should have no worries about customer service with them.

Great Fit!
This is my second Bell Custom 500 Open Face helmet. I love the quality and style of their helmets. This is exactly what I was looking for. Feels comfortable, and feels safe! Tried buying a different brand and end up returning it since it did not have the same quality as Bell. I ride a Vespa, and wanted something stylish for my scooter and SAFE. Would buy another Bell in the future.

Sizing
The item is fine, sizing is a bit off. I ordered a large according to the dimensions and sizing charts. It was too small, very tight fitting.

Good helmet for the money, but quite a bit of wind noise.
The helmet is good for what it is, but the face opening is just a bit too small for my OTG goggles. And while it feels like your ears are well protected (muffled), when riding the wind is finding it's way into the ear chambers, and is pretty loud. I even somehow got a bug into the helmet and I could hear it buzzing around my ear inside the helmet.I do have a HUGE head, and am using the XL, which was slightly tight (a bit uncomfortable) at first, but has settled to my head well. Perhaps the XL and XXL share the same shell, because the shell seems huge compared to my head. Its a good helmet for $120 and has a classic look. Even the padding fabric has a cool vintage vibe to it. I'd give it 5 stars if it were't for the wind noise, which is surprising considering it really block other sounds (my v-twin exhaust, traffic) well.

Bell Quality
This particular Bell 500 helmet, Apex version, fit me true to size.My head measures 59 cm which calls for a size Large, and this helmet fits me perfectly. Some websites selling this helmet suggest ordering one size up as they said it runs small were incorrect for the Apex version. My head is an intermediate oval in its shape also, which this helmet is also supposed to beNice quality for the money, and the interior seems of very nice quality, nice stitching and colors. No venting, but being white with silver, gray stripes, and open face, it should be fine at least where I live, highs in low 90's mid summer, near Lake Erie, in PennsylvaniaI will buy a flip up face shield for it now that I know it fits well. Many varieties of shields for this Bell helmet. Maybe a pair of goggles also.I usually wear full face helmets, but recently acquired a small adventure motorcycle where this helmet will be perfect !!!Only slightly negative is the thick padding on either side of my jaw is pushing in just a little too much being brand new, and am sure it will relax a bit from wearing it. I look at that as a good thing, having a snug fit means safer in the event of an accident, and after all, why some of us choose to wear a helmet in the first place, right ?A "just in case" insurance policy.Shipping was amazingly fast, I was pleasantly surprised I got it so quickly, so hats off to the seller !!!

Not accurate measurements.
I measured my head, and measured it again and again and again. And used their chart to pick the size. It came in the mail and it was so tight it hurt to put on. They don’t make a bigger size either. I was a few cm off from the top end on the chart even. They are too cheap to make another mold for the bigger one so they just take out basically all the padding to try and get your head to fit. Awful

Uncomfortable
The sides of the helmet clamp down on my jaw too hard. Not sure why they are angled inward so aggressively. Seems to be well made though.

Bell helmets have been around a long time you get your money's worth
You can't beat a bell. I take a large but I needed an extra large when it came to this particular helmet
