Magnum P.I.: Season 8

It includes the final episode of an eight season run. The conclusion was awesome and it left everything open ended so a ninth season would have been possible.Magnum PI has helped me get through three months of quarantine in Michigan’s upper peninsula. It is my teddy bear, my pacifier, my tranquilizer, and something to look forward to, each day.The theme music gets me anticipating a good story. The writers are amazing in their plot twists and unexpected conclusions.Filmed on location in Hawaii is just icing on the cake! We once visited Maui and Oahu and it is the only place I have been that I hope to revisit. However, I am 73 years old and this series from the 1980s May be the next best thing!Thank you, Tom Selleck and everyone whoMade this series possible! Thank you, Amazon, for making the episodes available!

This is one of my favorite TV shows of all time! Tom Selleck plays the role of a former Navy man turned Private Investigator, thus the P.I. title for his current profession. People love this sries for it's excellent combination of action, drama, and some comedy mixed in. The "friendship" between Higgins and Magnum is hilarious at times! Don't let that fool you, though. The main theme of this series is crime action. Thomas Magnum takes on multiple cases that lead to deat defying trouble every time! This show made the red Ferrari(328?) a household word! Audi sedan fans also get an occasional treat now and then. The scenery/locations are in Hawaii and are stunningly beautiful! This series won multiple Golden Globes and Emmys and deservedly so. There is also an episode of the Rockford Files, another famous crime drama, when Selleck got his big debut. I would rate this PG for minor language, violence, and action. There is nothing racy or obscene. This is like Miami Vice in that it will never die! Enjoy!

I has to get this DVD, but really did not want to. because it's goodbye to Magnum... The DVD is of great quality and especially the episode before the last. I won't tell how the last one ended, but, when Magnum thgouht his daughter died he still wrote her letters which we can get glimpse on in various moments...I have to say this that Orsen Welles was supposed to play Robin but he died suddenly and it's the only reason why you never seen him after the 7th season. he died in 1983. But he is Robin Masters and the part DOES fit the way he lived his life:). for better or worse. I have Mr Arkadin his book too. But Higgins is NOT Mr. Masters. So that I had to disclose. But the s erie is mostly based on Robins estate which is a brilliant base of a story, and Magnum up to the last episode is known to be a P.I because of undisclosed problems With the Vietnam world and justice needed to be served for the innocent. He is remarkably faithful to his cause and by that still great 'Private eye' to the end. The issues With Vietnam war also came on screen and his thgouhts about it. I strong recommend this last season because Tom Selleck as at his best. But I am really sad to say goodbye to them all. After I purchased all Seasons, I could always look back :) literally speaking.

All this time I thought Magnum died at the end of the seventh season... I had no idea there was an eighth season until I was looking things up on IMDB. This season is interesting though. You can tell that there were different writers and occasionally Tom Selleck wrote his own stuff. Because of this, the episodes all feel different than other seasons. Some of them are weaker and others are stronger. You'll just have to see for yourself!

This is the quintessential season for Magnum, P.I. fans. Everything gets wrapped up here. Thomas gets his happy ending. There is even a little tease in the ending, leaving us all wanting more. This season was the perfect ending to one of(if not the) greatest detective series of all time. If you do not shed tears in at least 2 episodes, I question if you have a soul. From Magnum's heartbreaking decision to let Michele's killer go for the greater good, to his reunion with Lily, this season delivers the emotion in spades, but stil delivers the fun we know and love. We find out that Higgins IS Robin Masters....or is he???? Rick says I DO.....or does he????? TC reunites with his ex wife and Thomas re-inlists. Full circle indeed. This season was about the completion of Magnum's journey and how he grew/matured and we all get to go along for the ride. Not a moment is wasted.

Diese 8.Staffel ist definitiv die beste.Denn klar ist daß das Ende von Magnum bereits in der 7.Staffel besiegelt wurde.Bei einem Schusswechsel in einer Lagerhalle wurde er beinahe tödlich verletzt.Die Fortsetzung geht bei der 8.Staffel weiter und lässt Fans der Serie zum Taschentuch greifen.Zumindest ist die 8.Staffel ein Abschied für immer auch für liebgewonnene Mitdarsteller der Serie.Den Tod eines befreundeten Politisten den manch einer von uns bereits ins Herz geschlossen hat wird hier ermordet.Und Magnum löst diesen Fall ala Miami Vice.Action Pur auf höchstem Niveau ist diese letzte Serie leider nur mit 3 DVDs bestückt.Der Abschied fällt einem richtigen Fan sehr schwer.Ein gebürtiger Nachfolger von Tom Selleck als auch seinen anderen 2 Teamkollegen wird es nicht geben.Da Tom Selleck das Statussymbol als auch Kultfigur dieser Serie mit seinen Kollegen sind.Und eine Auferstehung als Remake dieser Serie niemals mehr in Erscheinung treten wird.Das Original kann man immer remaken.Doch es wird niemals mehr diesen Flsir der 80er Jahre mit Tom Selleck erlangen.Deshalb sollte man diese Original Serie als Fan immer in seiner Sammlung haben und zurück greifen wenn man mal wieder das Original sehen möchte.

Bin großer Magnum Fan. war eine meiner Lieblingsserien in der Jugend. Kann man immer noch gut schauen.3 DVDs sind enthalten. Lieferung war schnell und umkompliziert.Magnum ist einfach cool.

Tom Selleck, etwas zugelegt an Pfunden, aber immer noch sehr gut anzusehen und in guter Form.Auch hier etwas Spaß mit Higgins, Rick und TC, kaum mit den Hunden (habe noch nicht alle Folgen gesehen).Aber die Stories, die Handlungen sind spannender, ernster.Auch diese Staffel gefällt mir sehr gut, enthält alles, was eine Top-Serie ausmacht.
