Looks great on the old steel lolly column

Ordered four column covers. All arrived damaged even though boxes had no visible damage on the outside. Material is very brittle and easily cracks. Returned all four.

Easy to cut to size, easy to install, looks great.

Product quality is good and has a good paintable surface. But these guys have no idea how to keep it undamaged in shipping. Both ends were cracked & chipped. I don't have tome to return for new one as the first took 9 days to arrive. Seems like that was UPS fault, not shipper.

This had the potential to be a great product. I read some of the bad reviews, and having been a builder for 40 years, I chalked them up to user error. Unfortunately, I have to confirm the problems. All sleeves arrived with damage to both ends. Substantial cracks that needed to be patched. The bases and capitals dowels were cut too long so that the halves would bottom out before mating, and needed to be recut except for the missing ones. One of the posts was actually larger at one end than the other, leaving a quarter inch gap no matter which capital we tried to use, and trust me the sleeve was tightly assembled. We did cosmetic repairs and made them look pretty, and the customer was thrilled, but time is money, and at this price point I had expected a quality product, which this was not. Probably would have given this 2 stars for a good idea poorly executed, but I reached out to their customer service and received no response. Strike three. Next time I think I’ll try using their idea to make my own!

The product arrived today and appears solidly constructed and as advertised. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars at this point is that it was shipped without the wooden dowels necessary to keep the caps together, which is EXTREMELY annoying. Ease of installation is a prime reason we purchased this, but now we have to run to a store, find the correct size dowels, and then assemble. Unless we are missing something in the packaging, the dowels are not here. Frustrating. Otherwise product is constructed well.

This column wrap ended up perfect. Cut to size easily for my basement. I glued the pegs into place as well as the sides of the wrap. This guy is definitely not one to leave unfinished though. I put two coats of white interior p&p as well as using painters caulk on all the seams vertically and where the decorative top and bottom is.Recommendations for install:1. When you glue the column wrap together, use clamps at the 1/3 & 2/3 spots to keep it in place while the glue sets. Repeat for the trim top/bottom.2. Before you put the trim on, get a can of spray-foam and insert it too and bottom to unload a good amount. This will expand inside the wrap to prevent it from moving.3. If you have a brad nailer, use that to nail the trim top/bottom to the wrap for added strength.

This material is too fragile for the design they're trying to implement. Like many people mentioned, it arrived with connector ridges chipped or broken off, on one side - all along the column. Also the surface is uneven, it has to be painted or polished before it looks good. Disappointing.
