Q: What size are the nuts?

One side is 18mm and the other is 19mm. The 18mm is the nut that would hold the shock on (bolt side) and the 19mm holds the bolt to the arm.

Q: On a 96 Ford Ranger the stud has broken off but the spacer remains. Does this have to be grinded off flush, and will it leave proper 1/2" hole?

I used it on a E350, ground off the old mount and a portion of the new bolt and welded it.

Q: Will this work on a 2009 Pontiac g6 rear shock have no bushings on bottm bolt need something???

You just need bushings if your bolt is ok, just look for shock bushings
