I was expecting this to be tiny but it’s a good size for my Quaker. She hasn’t played with it yet because it takes her a while to warm up to knew toys. However I think it’s a great buy for medium to large birds.

My Red Bellied Parrot loves this toy. She will shred and tear and destroy everything she can get her beak on. This keeps her happy for a long time. She does yell at it quite a bit!

This is a great paper holder! We use if for our parakeets. They love to pull the paper. It holds the paper great! Even our 2 Masked Lovebirds use this size. Sometimes larger birds, when a duo, prefer a smaller size.

This is the perfect play toy for my lovebird. It’s durable, and can withstand her constant shredding. Great buy!

Well isn’t this just fine timing for a return window? The ability to return was the day it broke. One of the 5 that I bought in this order just broke. These chains, they will not hold up to a scarlet macaw. The spring inside, well it’s kinda useless. If you want the paper to feed out a little when the bird pulls on it, you can’t have the lid tight, cause then the spring is compressed too much. Now if you leave the lid a little loose so the paper can come out, well then the lid will come off and the paper will fall out and be totally destroyed by the bird in one big blast of shredding ecstasy. Good luck rolling up an unspooled roll of paper. Oh and the holes in the side, well my birds can poke their beaks in them and bite the paper roll just enough so that the paper always tears inside. There has got to be a better lid tension solution. I’d send everyone of mine back if I could. Idea is good. Just a poor performing toy. It may work a little better for African Grey’s and smaller. I still think the lid tension issue is a no sale deal breaker for me though. Wish I could return mine. :-(

always a parrot favorite, the cockatoo likes to unscrew the side cover and dump out the paper.the boy eclectus uses the paper to clean his beak after eating his hot food.

The plastic on this is heavy duty...which is nice. Ours didn't work great with the spring inside. I took it out and it works great. We also broke a portion of the lid when we were trying to un-screw it because it was on so tight. We even thought it might be glued for some reason. So just be careful with that if you try to take out the spring or replace the paper.
