Really lovely oil for soft, glowing skin.
The media could not be loaded. This is a really lovely oil. It comes nicely packaged in a cardboard outer box and the oil itself comes in in a plastic bottle which has a finger pump at the top. It is dispenses the oil well without leakage. When you pump it out, it looks like there's an awful lot of gold shimmer, but once you apply it to skin and spread it over all your left which is a hint of gold which is very nice indeed. I've used it on my winter legs but I can imagine how nice it would be on tanned skin. The oil absorbs really quickly and feels very lights but moisturising at the same time. It has a faint but pleasant fragrance that doesn't have a power. This product has really impressed me. The ingredients are taken from naturally derived Greek sources in a sustainable way and it is cruelty free, vegan, gluten-free, GMO- free and paraben/silicone/PEG-free as well. The key ingredients in this oil are: apricot, oak, rockrose, and olive, and are used in combination for their moisturising, antioxidant and anti ageing properties. To sum up, I would definitely buy this oil again as my skin looks and feels amazing after using it. It's not just for use on the body – you can use it on your face as well for a glowing complexion.

The shimmer only works on really pale skin
When I took the bottle out of the box, I noticed a large glob of glitter stuck to the side and even after some vigorous shaking, it hardly moved. I even tried unscrewing the pump and using the pipe to stir it in, which again didn't help much. After all that shaking though, the oil looked luxurious with the shimmering particles running through it. The oil doesn't really have a scent, which I thought was a shame, especially considering the ingredients. A nice flower scent would have been good. Pumping it onto my fingers, it literally runs straight down into my palms, so I had to move quickly. Applying it to my cheek bones, it goes on easily enough but there's absolutely no shimmer. As it applied quite thickly, it's not like I wanted to make my face greasy in an attempt to get a little bit of sparkle.I then took the pump and pipe apart to empty the pipe out in case of any blockages. Having taken the whole thing apart and given it another shake, the oil came out slightly thicker, but also, it just ended up all over the place and a complete mess. I then decided to try it out on my legs because the skin there gets extremely dry, especially after shaving. Well, the results were a lot better than when I tried it on my face and arms! I don't know if it's because my legs are a real pasty white, but they gained a glow and I could easily see the shimmer. My skin also felt soft after use. Then, I decided to shine the torch from my phone over the areas I had applied the oil to and it really does shimmer, but I can't go around carrying a torch with me, just to get the desired effect. Overall, I gave this oil every single possible opportunity for me not to give it one star. I'd say this is good on those with really pale skin, as I tried it on my mum's legs too as she has more of a tan than I do and it shined like any oil would, but didn't shimmer well.

Maybe mine was from a dodgy batch?
Reading the other reviews, maybe I was unlucky with mine because I think the oil might have gone off. It looks lovely in the bottle and I shook it well and then sprayed some on my arm. It comes out very runny and you have to quickly start spreading it otherwise it literally drips off your arm!It was looking really nice and felt very moisturising, much like baby oil but then I sniffed my arm expecting a nice scent to accompany the glow and was met with ... well, hard to describe. It’s not scented in a positive way and didn’t smell completely rancid but it just sort of smelt like cooking oil that’s been open for a while? Not particularly pleasant and it’s put me off wanting to use it now!

Too expensive and not effective
I appreciate that it's vegan and cruelty-free. It is also paraben-free and silicone-free. But do we really have to pay more than £16?I have long and thick hair, use different types of products, and have tried a lot of different products and brands. This oil is greasy, more on the hands than it is on the hair. Unfortunately, it doesn't remove the frizz from my hair as I hope you can see from the photo I shared.I don't use it on my face and body for two separate reasons. On the face, because my face already has quite oily skin, not dry, therefore I could make the situation worse. I don't use oil on my body for a simple reason. My sister-in-law is a dermatologiest and explained to me that actually, oils do not hydrate, consequently from that moment on I no longer used "moisturizing" oils, but I use creams instead. In addition to this, I can say that it does not have a good fragrance (it smells like olive oil, but even more delicate), it would have been interesting to put at least some natural scents.Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. It was not effective as you would think in my experience and it is too expensive.
