I was very pleased with this urn. It's heavy and has a screw lid, which was very secure. I didn't have any problems unscrewing/screwing the lid off and on. I didn't know what to expect buying online, but I'm so glad I went with this urn for my father. It's beautiful. Before purchasing, I even went to Memorials4u's website and saw that the price on Amazon was in line with their website. They have a larger selection on their website, too, if you want to look more. Urns in the funeral home were quite expensive. I brought the urn to the funeral home where my father was cremated so they could place his ashes inside, and the funeral home director was impressed with the quality and price, even though they didn't make any money from me since I bought it here on Amazon. My family was impressed at the remembrance celebration. You can also see from the photos that the color is different depending on the light. The blue isn't teal. It's blue...it's not quite as light blue as some pics. It really does depend on the light you're in. The blue would be perfect for a man or a woman, in my opinion. It's a really nice color. I will also add a note about size...although these urns all say they will fit an average-sized person or someone who was up to 200lbs before cremation -- or I even saw one urn listed that said you go by 1lb per cubic inch...that's just not true. Cremation leaves you with ashes...the amount of ashes you have will be based on bones. Big boned, small boned, taller bones, shorter bones...that's what goes into the size urn, not weight before cremation. My father was 5'11" and weighed more than double what an average adult male weighs. My father fit perfectly well in this 200 cubic inch urn. So please know that your loved one will fit in one urn.

I didn't know exactly what I was searching to find, but it just had to be perfect. Initially I planned to spread his ashes not even thinking about an urn. Then I realized I wasn't ready to let him go so soon and needed a special place to hold him. I looked at funeral home offerings, online memorial sites, etc. and I couldn't be more relieved to have found this special, fitting and beautiful urn. It's understated elegance is stunning and it's made with beautiful silver detailing.The blue colored design is warm and pleasing with the flow of color changing throughout the design. The lid screws on tightly and the size of the urn is not the overwhelming height of many I've looked at. Being overly picky I returned one after finding a small flaw and the return/refund was handled without any problems. The price is amazingly low which is a big surprise for such a perfect piece. I definitely recommend this! It has satisfied all of my personal hopes and I simply LOVE IT. The only drawback is that it does not hold all his ashes. He was 5’10” and 170 pounds. I have two options; keep it for my ashes or spread the balance of his that don’t fit somewhere. ??? Beautiful urn but I am slightly disappointed.

Appearance

I've purchased two of these urns in the past few years. One for my father-in-law and now another for my father. Both were very well made. I'm guessing that they are cast of aluminum, then machined, engraved, and painted. They are perfectly suited for their purpose and quite attractive for the time they are on display. They would cost 10x the amount here if you were to buy a similar urn from a funeral home.Both these men were frugal in life due to living through war and depressions ... I'm sure that they would be pleased that we chose such handsome and at the same time simple and affordable urns for them.

Thank you for such a beautiful piece of art in the urn. I have yet to place my mother, but as I do fill some of her ashes in this gorgeous urn. I will feel at peace with placing my mother into such beauty. I plan on sharing ashes of my mother with her remaining children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have purchased more mini urns and also a beautiful necklace for my niece wh on my mother cares for all of her life. She is a 22 year old miracle child. 4 open heart surgeries as a tiny infant and was diagnosed with Down syndrome. My niece And Mother spent. Early every day of her life together. It was a devastating lose for her. The necklace has brought her comfort. I purchased trinkets for the grands and great grands. Also a few extra mini urns for special people in my mothers life. The world has been a better place with my mother in her 80 yeas and he Heavens are triumphant with her singing praise to have made it to THE ETERNAL LIFE.

I received my moms urn today. I got a tightness in my chest and the tears started as I opened it. She passed a week ago. It was so beautiful!!! This is her final resting place. I ordered a few urns from Memorials 4U for my moms passing. One big one and 6 small ones... they look very nice and craftsmanship seems decent. These stay on a shelf so no handling or moving around. But look and quality, no regrets getting these.

This is large. Heavy and very well made. It is beautiful . Extremely good value for money.
