Due to the wall thickness, I had to fabricate an outside panel to mount the device and secure the small panel to the wall. Except for that, the devices are well designed and constructed, and the attached cover allows sealing the outside jack when traveling or non-use. The design of the outside cable gland allows use with a standard RJ-45 connector, but a snag-proof boot, if fitted, will have to be removed to fit through the hole in the gland cap. Exactly what I needed.

I got these to extend an Ethernet connection outside my RV. Due to the wall thickness, I had to fabricate an outside panel to mount the device and secure the small panel to the wall. Work as described. It is weatherproof when not in use and the cap is in place. It is no no longer weatherproof when an RJ-45 is plugged into it.
