Breathable Mesh Dog Muzzle, Poisoned Bait Protective Muzzle for Dogs to Prevent Biting and Barking

My dogs eats stuff when she's outside unsupervised. it's compulsive - leaf? eat it. Stick? eat it. Mulch? eat it. it goes on and one. I'm not waiting to end up in the dog ER with an obstruction, so - I've resorted to muzzling her when she's outside. I wanted something that was mesh and breathable, durable, well-fitting, and didn't LOOK like a muzzle. She's not aggressive unless you're a leaf; so I don't want her to appear that way in the event that we need it while walking the trail through the park - though she's usually better when supervised.This is the third mesh type muzzle that I've tried, and - sofar it's my favorite. The other mesh types that are readilly available on Amazon have a lot of extra room in them, so they fold up like a sock puppet, and go into the dog's mouth when she grabs a stick. This eventually wears out the mesh and it gets holes in it. They also have big holes in the TOP of the mask, and - my dog found that she could drag her nose on the ground enough to get her mouth out through the nose-gap.This muzzle doesn't have ANY of these problems. It fits like a glove over just the end couple of inches of the dog's snout, and has a little elastic so there's some give for panting, etc. But - no room to drag her nose out. There's also no EXTRA material to 'sock puppet'; so - sofar no carrying sticks around has occurred.The only gripe I have with the muzzle is that the straps are pretty short. My dog's snout measures 3.3", and 8" in circumference (fitting her into a small size), but the straps just barely go around the back of her head. It's a little snug, but - it works. I guess she's a small snout/medium head dog? because it WORKS, no points off, but - it's notable.I really hope it ends up lasting a while. Others have worn out in about a month. So - we'll see.

The first time I ordered this muzzle it was great. Worked great and then my dog lost it. So I ordered 2 more of the same thing from same seller and this one has a middle head strap that goes over the dog's head. She hates it. NOT WHAT I ORDERED!

My dog can get it off . She doesn’t because I tell her not to now I know she can . So it works well as long as she keeps it on

This came with an additional strap that goes from the edge of the muzzle up between the eyes to the strap behind the ears. If you don't like it, you can just take it off. Don't forget to take some time to de-sensitize your dog to this muzzle before you actually need it. We were happy to find that treats can be given through the little V shaped opening on the side while the dog is wearing the muzzle. Note: this is not a strong bite muzzle. We use it to keep our chow hound from getting extra snacks off the ground in the picnic areas when we walk in a large park.

The quality is fair, but it's not as pictured. I was looking for a muzzle without a top strap, and the one that was sent to me has a top strap. It just wasn't as pictured. I also measured for my corgi and the measurements told me to get a small, but it ended up being too small. Not satisfied, had to return.

Smallest muzzle is too big. Will need to get a refund as they have nothing smaller to offer.

Don't work at all. Dog shakes her head, or rubs it on floor, item comes right off. Useless for this dog.

My labrador retriever will eat pretty much anything and everything, including sticks. We have lots of critters (deer, fox, turkeys, squirrels, birds) in our backyard that leave behind all kinds of poop, which all seem to be attractive as a tasty snack. My dog is trained with the "leave it" command, but I don't watch him every second when he's out in the yard. This muzzle is great for letting him out to go to the bathroom and explore without letting him eat everything in sight, preventing exposure to parasites or other undesirables. It's easy on/off and washes up quickly. It's certainly not heavy duty and I wouldn't use for other purposes, but it serves this purpose extremely well. It makes letting him out in the yard stress-free. My dog, as you would expect, doesn't love to put it on, but he doesn't try to get it off either, and is not bothered by it once it's on. Would buy again, and would recommend.'

I measured my dog properly, but when it showed up was way too small. Also was way easy for dog to claw off her face. Needs a 2nd strap to keep them from being able to remove it I. Less then 2 seconds.

The dog allowed me to put this on him right away with no sign of discomfort.

This muzzle is perfect. I love it above all the others that I have tried on my dog. He can still drink water he can still smell around without the muzzle pushing into his eyes and hurting his face

Very cheaply made. Threads were fraying when it arrived.
