Q: The color rubs off when you wipe this with a paper towel. Why is this? It seems like the glass is painted with some sort of a cheap paint...

I had the same problem. The paint kept coming off the bottom when it got wet. I painted clear nail polish on it and that worked for a while. Since my last review, I have come to the conclusion that this is the worst dispenser I have ever bought. The spout keeps coming off now. I cannot get it to stay on. I am trashing this thing.

I believe it's standard to most pump dispensers, but I urge you not to buy, it's not worth the hassle and it's not that pretty or useful
