CLEAR THE PATH!!!
I consider myself a foodie - I have traveled all over and truly enjoy tasting and enjoying new flavors from all over the world. This move may not be a documentary, but it sure gives a little insight into that world :) I really enjoyed the cast, and how they interacted with each other. Sure, the story may be predictable, but the point of a good movie isn't that you know how it's going to end, but the journey it takes to achieve that ending. This was a really good movie and now I need to go enjoy a really good meal!

Great emotional movie... not a great Chef Movie
This movie is panned by "Chef" movie enthusiasts constantly... I am a chef and I love this movie... because it is NOT a "Chef" movie.. its a redemption story... Bradley Coopers character is recovering from alcohol and drug addiction issues. It's NOT about cooking. It is dramatic, emotional, and has a great story arc. Adam Jones a once world-renowned Michelin star chef is broke, alone, and in self-imposed exile after destroying his life, career, and the life and careers of those closest to him. As with many on the road to recovery, once back in the world, he realizes time and life have moved on without him, he is no longer on the cutting edge... he has become a relic in the food world. The story is about his path to redemption, his fight to stay sober, and to work his steps by facing his demons and working his eighth step. (look it up if you don't know) if you know what that is... WATCH THIS MOVIE. Can Adam Jones stay sober, make amends for his past, and get his life in order in the very environment that allowed him to go off the rails, to begin with? An engaging and enjoyable movie. Sienna Miller is also fantastic in a strong supporting role. I highly recommend it. I cannot pass by this movie whenever it is on.

Great cast.
Bradley Cooper is at his best when he plays a flawed, vulnerable protagonist. He was great in this movie.

Great start but then didn't seem to know what to do with itself
Burnt was made with foodies in mind. You can tell that as soon as it starts with all kinds of close ups of food from the shucking of oysters to bacon being fried on a grill. It features Bradley Cooper trying to get his reputation back. He plays the perfect compulsive obsessive chef. The story tries to approach the food business from different angles from the planning of the menu, to finding chefs, to setting up the tables, to the dictator, that being Cooper. The best part might be showing Cooper and a rival chef as spoiled little kids.Unfortunately I don’t think the writer knew what to do with the story after that great start. Thus it goes in a couple different directions none of which I was really happy with. I still enjoyed it though because the good elements were really good.

Fresh from the .. ashes ... There can be Redemption
So this is my second time seeing this movie .. I saw it on HBO ... then I decided should it ever return to a member premium service.. I would watch it again. Very pleased that it was on Prime and that is one of the benefit's of having an account with Amazon. You can pick and choose what you want over basic cable and television. There are some who liked this feature and there are other's who did not..? I feel that it takes a village of artisans to deliver the goods when producing , directing and starring in a movie. I am pleased with the actor's such as Bradley Cooper,Sienna Miller,Daniel Bruhl,Matthew Rhys,Uma Thurman,Emma Thompson and Omar Sy . Great locations, kitchens and staging ! Kept me entertained .

Sure lets you know the heat in a kitchen
Not sure re "the stars" although I have to say I had no idea about what chef's actually do until I viewed this film. For me, needs more than one viewing as it deals wight he work and also with relationships and private life. I wish it had explained the reassigning behind the food it depicts.
