Whole Food Earth® - Pure Xanthan Gum Powder 1 kg | Food Grade | Extra Fine | GMO Free

We have used xanthan gum for years, you usually only need a small amount, but this is the first type which doesn’t thicken. We use 10x the quantity of previous types and it has no effect. It looks different and lumpy and brown in colour where past powders were fine and white. I put 2 tablespoons in a small amount of water and blended it, but it didn’t thicken it at all. Maybe a mistake in the bagging, but it has no flavour.

It says 'food grade' on the label, which I guess means it's technically fit for human consumption but is in no way food. You will not only lose the money you pay for this item but will have to throw away anything you put it in

This product literally blew my mind, it is a wonderful find.

So I bought this to add to my oatmeal to help thicken it up, however it has an awful taste to it. Maybe it's better used in baking

Used in many keto recipes as a binder for coconut and almond flours. Does the job.

Excellent vfm

I tried many brands before and they all do their job, but this has awful taste , doesn’t give desired texture and is overpriced. Never write reviews, but I’m so unhappy so hope it will help someone!

I have struggled to get a refund for this as I cannot physically return it because it had spilled all over the box when it arrived so I had to throw it away, although I did take a photo.
