I fell in love w/ these but hesitated to buy one because average barrettes often slide out of my fine hair. (And these are quality metal -not plastic- so I knew they would be heavier)Still I visited the page every day for at least a week... looking at all the styles and checking sizes and weight. Reading reviews (a lot said for use with thicker hair!)I just had to have one. I was still worried about the weight so I picked a medium size/ lighter weight style to "try". (Thankfully the description gives you size and weight!)When it arrived the first thing I noticed was how well it was made - and it's gorgeous! Great craftsmanship and it holds my fine hair well! (Even when putting only some of it in the clip.)I WILL be buying more styles, gradually adding heavier ones, because there are some here I can't live without!This is the nicest barette I've ever owned. Well worth the investment.Some reviewers commented on the clasp - I've found the key is to take your time opening it. I believe it is a much higher quality than the "easy" clasps on cheaper barrettes. Just be careful as you squeeze it to release it. If you position your fingers in the right place its very easy to open. It just takes a couple times to find the right spot.I'm very glad I took the chance on these.I almost didn't ... and that would have been a mistake.

Sturdy and like the styles

This company makes works of art for hair accessories. They make beautiful gifts - very nicely boxed and include a free charm with them. Definitely a cut above most hair clips!

Beautiful detail! Light weight. Well made. The quality is excellent. Does not pull my hair out. Does not hurt my hair (head). No ouchies! Shipped in a timely manner. I highly recommend! Fun to wear with my different styles of butterfly earrings and tank tops. Money well spent.

I lost my original feather barrette and decided to order a new one as I just loved it. I decided to treat myself to the butterflies too. They are both so beautiful and beautifully made. The charms were an added little gift from Ooeron Design and they just made my day. You guys are the best.

very elegant

I am very picky about my hair clips and usually, anything pretty, ends up falling out of my medium-long hair. I had a wedding to attend and thought I would try one more time. Not only did it work BUT I cannot overstate the quality both in the item and the gorgeous wrapping. This is seriously an amazing gift-giving-worthy item. I loved it so much that I purchased several more just for myself and am considering whom I may need a gift for in the near future. I cannot recommend a product more in both qualities of the item and gift-giving quality. The selection is beautiful.

Beautiful hair clip & not too large. The barrette itself has nothing to grip the hair or hold onto it like I’ve seen in other metal barrette’s. It slowly falls down my hair & will fall out. I’ve had to be creative to keep it in my hair. I’ve used the tacky side of Velcro & applied it to the stationary inside of the barrette; problem solved. No more slipping.

Love this! Wanted something a bit different to wear in my hair for my son's wedding but not wanting to compete with his beautiful bride on the hair do. This was just the thing. Really nice quality, beautiful but without being to showy. I've worn it a lot since the wedding and still love it. Will probably buy more in the future.
