Patchwork Pet 01006 Pastel Octopus 15-Inch Squeak Toy for Dogs

I used to buy the Petlou octopus (my one dog's FAVORITE) which was discontinued by them as quote" they had too many complaints about the quality of the material" --why they didn't just use a better material is beyond me - oh well - common sense is in short supply nowadays!Anyway, this guy came home and was greeted with the same enthusiasm as the Petlou one! Had my doubt as Petlou was multi-colored but BOTH the fur babies like this one. Once again, the material does leave something to be desired but I just get out the needle and thread and do some surgery. I ordered three more after I got this one and will probably order more to keep "in stock" in case these too go the way of the Petlou ones!Keeps the "kids" occupied for quite awhile!

My 6# Yorkie just loves this more than you can believe. The first one came from Marshall’s but it got threadbare after countless months of licking and chewing. So I found the same thing on Amazon, paid about $12 for it and it was a big hit for about 10 minutes by then he had tore it open and stuffing was everywhere. We sewed it up and it wasn’t long before it was gutted again. We have removed the filling and he still grooms it every single day. I tried another and same problem they just don’t make them as well as the first one we had. And sadly now the price is a ridiculous $37, So at that price we will never by another. If it were made better I might pay $19 or so, but only because he loves it so much.

Purchased this as a replacement for one bought at TJ Max. Regrettably, I disregarded the reviews thinking the one I received would be identical to our original. It’s not by any means. No squeakers in the tentacles and the grunter is lame. Save your money!!

This is my dog's favorite toy, like she has 30 toys but she'll dig through her toy box for this one and it's the one she uses to engage me in playing with her most often. She is pretty careful with it (I swear she's extra careful because she loves it so much) but she's a big dog at 52 lbs, and there's still a bit of tugging that goes on. Within a week I'm sewing it together in spots on the bottom and this repairing goes on frequently until I finally have to buy her another. All this to say, not particularly sturdy but super enjoyable for her.

The octopus is not durable enough to last more than a few months without lots of mending--but he loves it so much I don't mind. This is the fourth one we've had in nearly three years.

Original toy that we are replacing with this one had squeaks in all of the octopus feet. This toy is stiffer and the main squeaker doesn’t work as well. A bit of a disappointment from the original toy we got years ago.
