Essential Reformer 3rd Edition - 2 Disc Set (6 Languages)

The first dvd set had issues. The first dvd kept getting stuck during the first play and it was frustrating. I quickly got it replaced and the new one plays without issue. The workout on the first DVD of the set is great. It provides a good reformer workout. Though it’s somewhat geared to instructors that’s fine because of the detailed guidance. The instructor can be slow at times. I agree with other reviews on that. No problem. I keep doing reps while she is talking. This keeps the workout at a higher level of intensity. I get in 3-5 more reps at least on just about everything. I took almost 500 Pilates classes over 2 1/2 years and just transitioned to home Pilates on a reformer that I bought about a month ago or so. I also use a Total Gum Fit Ultimate machine and a lot of Pilates equipment along with and separate from the reformer. This dvd reformer workout is a solid workout but not as challenging as advanced ones. So I do this one on days when I feel a little tired- saving more advanced reformer exercise for my stronger days. I have not checked out the second dvd of the set yet.

This is a wonderful tape for learning perfect technique. It is a workout, but doesn't flow as quickly as I would like and they do reduce the reps to show a variations on exercises. It's all good, but it is not a "turn your brain off and follow the directions" type of workout. Great tips about your form and great ideas.

I have the pilates allegro, very similar to the reformer. I have several DVD's from which I've learned valuable information about technique as well as routines. This DVD, however, is my favorite. The instructor guides a student through exercises while providing detailed information about breathing, form, and all aspects of technique. I've got a personal trainer on DVD! This is the DVD I needed to hone my skills as an independent user of a sophisticated machine.

I’ve been using this for a few months now and I actually really like it. I thought it would be hard and believe me it is I’ve had to work my way up, but I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is a beginner. For me it was hard to find a beginner Pilates DVD, but this one seem to do exactly what it says, and I have a lot more to do so I recommend it for any beginner.

Hi, note that if you are buying this for exercise, it is not that kind of video. It is really structured for teachers.

AMAZING process SHOWS results in an almost UNBELIEVABLY short period of time. I have a Reformer in my home, but they are all over the place now-- I used this DVD along with my physical therapist to learn Pilates, and once did, well, the whole world opened up like before I got hurt and all of my "I couldn't because...." went away! Start small, go for QUALITY, and little by little increase quantity. "Yard by yard, it's just too hard, but inch by inch-- it's a CINCH!"

Great instruction

I have a reformer at home that came with its own instructional dvd's. They fell short for me. I also didn't want to continue paying to go to private reformer classes. This dvd is the same routine my instructor teaches me in my classes. I can continue to do my private classes in the privacy of my own home and as often as I choose. Thank you!

Not one of my favourites....she takes too much time talking for each movement.....add more options and it would be great

Quel déception! Très instructif aux niveaux de l'appareil mais 2 disques et 1 seul entrainement! J'ai déjà acheté un autre DVD Bounce Cardio de la même compagnie encore le même bla bla sur l'appareil qui sont les fondateurs. et 1 seul entrainement. Cherchez plutôt sur internet un abonnement ou vous aurez de vrais entrainement pour à peur près 20$ par mois sera plus rentable. C'est de l'arnaque ces DVD!
