No more gnats on plants!
I am a new plant mom and I was skeptical when I read online that aquarium rocks would help keep gnats at bay. I was so annoying always coming across them. I had tried other methods to eliminate them but they just kept coming back!!! I got these pebbles as a last ditch attempt and they work!!! No more gnats! And they give a nice clean appearance on top of the soil. So glad!

Pretty, but not very much in bag
This was my fault, but it turns out that 2.2 lb of sand is not very much sand by volume! (Obviously, I guess) Maybe 3 cups? Just be aware.

Consider pros and cons before using as soil substitute
I was looking for smaller leca pebbles, but was unable to find a supplier. Somehow through a random Amazon search, I came across ceramsite. it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it was just what I needed. It holds water for a longer time than traditional leca so I don’t need as large of a reservoir. It wasn’t nearly as dusty as leca so the cleaning process took a fraction of the time to get rid of the dust and debris. It’s also much gentler on the roots. It’s perfect for more fragile root systems. The con is, it doesn’t create as much air pockets as leca, so it’s more dense (and heavier). Another downside is because they’re so small, you need much more to fill your vessel. I was only able to fill one vase with the pouch which makes it incredibly expensive compared to other growing mediums.I would still recommend it, but maybe for something with a much smaller root system than my dracaena.

Go to the dollar store
I should have shopped around a bit. The dollar store had the same thing in a smaller bag for just a dollar that would have been perfect for my needs. Product was great, just not the best deal.

Lovely; perfect for succulent containers
Exactly what I was looking for- small, gravel-like pebbles for my hawarthias succulents. Color and texture are perfect. Reviews are correct on amount of product; you don’t get a lot, but worth it for what I needed. Will buy more.

brilliant coarse sand for decoration & plants
I used this to "top off" the soil for my succulents, and it works perfectly. It provides drainage and a beautiful, even sandy-colored topping. The sand is heavy enough that it doesn't fly away in the wind. Perfect for plants!

Great for succulents and cacti amazing customer service
I am using this product for succulents and cacti, both as a top dressing and also in my potting soil/perlite mixture. I bought this one and the black lava pumice both from same seller. I am happy with my purchase and would purchase this again when needed. Now adding to my review, 3rd purchase and all plants I have used this pumice on are doing great. Customer service is amazing as I had the wrong color sent and they fixed the issue right away. Happy to continue to purchase this pumice as needed for my plant obsession.

These are attractive stones, but expensive
You will be better off buying these stones from one of the big box stores, you'll get more for your money and they will be what is described here. I bought this to cover the soil in decorative pots of orchid cactus, so I was disappointed when I received enough stone to do three pots. Plus, like all light colored stone, there's a lot of white coming off on my hands, and onto the soil in the pots. The color isn't as described either. It is NOT multi or mixed color anything. Once on the pots, the rocks appear almost white consistently. I don't really care about the white color on the soil, but the fact that I need to buy more in order to do four pots isn't making me overly happy. Watch the weight on the packaging, and the per pound price.

Expecting more
This is a very small bag for the price. It's around the size of a packet of mint imperials you'd get from Sainsburys at 99p. About the size of my hand. It's very clean stuff, but for the price of it I'd expect Cristiano Ronaldo to have hand picked each pebble from the Orwell.

It's not Pumice
Very disappointed to find on opening that it is not Pumice as advertised but ordinary gravel. I will not be buying that again.

not very good value formoney
its a very small bag for the money but it looks good round the top of them plant. if you have large cacti or succulents it won`t go far. also i would advise rinsing it before you start to get rid of the dust.

Okay but pricey
Too expensive. Beautifully packaged and presented but I’d rather have had more content. Emperor’s clothes? Maybe ..
