Couldn't be happier with these -- had them a month now. Much brighter than a mini Maglite, much better battery life than a mini Maglite, less heavy than a mini Maglite, the rubber outer shell is easier to grip, and I love the magnet feature and the clip. (You can clip a Larry to your shirt pocket to work hands free in confined spaces). True, you can't change the beam size, but the beam is huge and bright so no problem there.It always seemed like the mini Maglites (2xAA) that I had turned themselves on in my pocket and the batteries were flat by the time I needed to use them. Also, when dropped, the Maglite lens and/or bulb would break - the Larry has a positive button push for on/off and I've dropped one of them a couple of times onto concrete and it's still working fine.

These are awesome...tiny yet they produce a massive flood of light. I have a lot of powerful flashlights (Surefire, Fenix, etc) but what I like about these is that they are very inexpensive, the size of a penlight, yet they have massive output. Don't expect a beam though. These are floodlights, and wow do they work well. You can light up an entire large room or even a yard with one. The swiveling magnetic clip is also a feature I really like. I've bought six of these thus far to have around the house, in the car, garage, etc. Might need to get some more.

Sooo bright. I use these when I walk at night or when I’ve lost something. They’re slim enough to fit into small spaces for times when you’re looking under the couch. They’re magnetic so they will stay on a door or a refrigerator. I’ve had them for a long time now (a little over a year) and they’re just barely starting to need battery replacement.

The rating is 170 lumens for 5+ hours. The body is plastic with some sort of 'rubberized feeling' coating. The magnetic clip is strong enough to keep it in place. The LED cover is clear plastic, probably not good for the durability rating. I do not really care for the end cap 'twist lock' type thing because it just does not feel like something that will last through too many cycles. But, for the price, size, and for the amount of light, five stars easy. I just ordered three more.

Clip broke on one. All others still.working fine. Will buy again.

Great little flashlight for working in tight places, as under a car. The mag clip is extremely useful, though could be a bit stronger for the weight of the light. Main complaint is the difficulty in using the on/off button when cramped for room (hence 4 stars)...otherwise highly recommend.

I own a few of the originals and love them. After reading the reviews for these newer versions, I went ahead and purchased some. All I can say is "wow". This version has all of the features of the original with the exception of being much brighter. These are perfect for hiking, camping, boating, to keep around the house, etc. Do yourself a favor and buy one for yourself, a relative, a friend, or a friend of a relative. You will not be disappointed with this light.

We used one of these to light our cooking area while car camping. Three nights (including one night forgetting to turn it off) on the same set of batteries. Hang it from the frame of a pop-up and we had a perfect light with which to play cards.
