Seriously. The heating coils and vacuum worked far better than I expected. Really happy with results. I 3D printed some forms and wad able to make mold to pour epoxy into to create positives. I wished the same manufacturer had a larger unit.

Works great.Make sure the entire plastic is hot and soft. It takes few minutes for first power up.I managed to reuse bad plastics molds by reheating them and molding again.Vacuum is a bit noisy - but that is OK.

I got this unit to make a small number of soap and candy molds for my family for the holidays. I used 3d printed models to make the molds and PETG sheets 0.020” thick.Generally I believe this is intended to make dental retainers so I made molds that size or smaller. 2-3 chocolates or 1 soap bar.I watched online videos for a guide but generally about 90-120 seconds of heat was enough to cause the initial “droop” . My unit did not hold in the upper heat position, other videos I saw similar units did. I would turn on the vacuum and rapidly lower the frame over the mold and run the vacuum for 60 sec as it cooled.Pros: the unit worked as advertised. Packed well with foam. Does not come with plastic for molds.Cons: the unit gets alarmingly hot to the touch after approximately 4 uses, had to be left for extended amount of time to cool. I had one episode of sparking and popping sound after 3rd use so I keep it unplugged between uses and it has not happened again.

It literally caught fire first use prior to using. It over heated and smoked up the entire room. Top where heater is was loose and nothing to keep heater in place. It wiggles freely left and right. This item is not safe... also the mold area is very very small.

Bought this to make some retainers because I lost my original ones. Very helpful and would recommend it to anyone who needs it

Used a few times to make canopies for scale models. After about 5 uses the unit made a strange noise, tripped a breaker, and I discovered one of the power switches was broken. There was no misuse on my part. I contacted the seller to try to get warranty service. They responded and said they would ship a replacement. That was more than a month ago. I would have preferred a refund but it was beyond the return period. I finally reached out to Amazon and they are refunding my money.This product has a powerful heating element and vacuum pump. It's dangerous and I would not trust it my house. Thanks to Amazon for making this right.
