Received exactly what expected. Light setting is great. Put it in the hallway to use as lighting for night. Works great. Keeps accurate time. Easy to use and setup.

I was looking for wall clock to replace my 12inch round wall clock. It is visible about the same distance that I can read the old clock. The brightest setting in not quite bright enough for room with sun light.It takes USB 5V as power in. There is built in battery for backup time when power is out. It is not atomic clock. I cannot confirm the accuracy of time keeping.Edit: Jan28'23. The Clock drift about 30seconds in about 1 month. I compare to other Auto setting Clock(Atomic Clock).

I’ve been looking for nothing more than a larger format digital clock and this gave me that and more. The auto brightness setting mostly works but there are some levels of light in the room (maybe from the TV) that seem to confuse it and make it readjust every second or two. When that occurs, I switch it to manual brightness. Aside from that, the three different light levels suit me just fine, day or night. Although I will say that the brightest setting during the day is brighter than I really need so I mostly keep it on medium (auto at night). I have it on the wall nearest the foot of my bed so if I wake up in the middle of the night, I can easily see the time without doing anything that wakes me even further (like rolling over, squinting, or putting on my glasses). The temperature & date displays are nice to have even though I don’t use them often. And being able to turn the seconds indicator (flashing colon) off is a definite plus because it can be distracting.On the down side, it loses about a minute every 2-3 weeks so if you need accurate time, this is not the clock for you. I don’t need perfect time (although I’d appreciate if it would gain time instead), but would mind this discrepancy less if resetting it was easier. These two cons together knock off 1 star: if it kept better time, I wouldn’t have to fuss with resetting it, and if resetting it was easier, I wouldn’t mind having to reset it. So I expect I’ll just reset it when the amount of time it loses becomes too obvious. Or maybe I’ll get used to resetting it and it will get easier.A less troublesome negative is the remote: it only works if I’m about 5 feet from the clock. Fortunately in my situation I don’t have to get up and walk closer to the clock. I just have to lean forward a bit and stretch out my arm. But it does seem excessive. Also, considering the negatives and that it’s mainly plastic, I think it may be a bit overpriced (I paid $20 after deducting the $5 coupon).That said, the advantages still outweigh the disadvantages — for me at least. I’ve only had it 3 weeks so only time will tell (pardon the pun) if it holds up. I have a digital clock radio that I’ve had for almost 50 years and it’s still going strong…. but they truly don’t make things like they used to so if this one lasts even 5 years, I’ll be impressed.

Probably the only down side of this is lack of auto-brightness. Setting 2 is too bright at night and perfect during the day. Setting 1 is perfect at night but very difficult to read during the day. I believe this is because the white plastic provides little contrast.

I'm perfectly happy with this overall, hence the 5-star rating. My wife complains it's way too bright even on 1/100 brightness setting but it doesn't bother me, just a matter of preference. The worst part is the power going out and having to reset absolutely everything from the year, temperature (celsius to fahrenheit), time format (24 to 12-hour) and all the cycles. This may not be a problem for everyone, my power has just gone out 25+ times this summer. Also, the mounting screw it came with is complete overkill and we replaced it with a tiny nail as the thing weighs very little.

While I very much like this clock, it should cost about $15. Now that I have received it, I searched using Google and confirmed my suspicions that the clock is way over-priced here. Other than that, the clock looks good, cycles from time, date and the room tempature (wish it was outside temperature). It also has an alarm function and can be set to display just the clock or rotate between clock, date and temp. Three brightness settings and a confirmation beep each time you press the button on the remote control. But do NOT lose the remote control and you will have no way to set the time, brightness or any other features of this clock since it has no buttons on it.
