Perfect!
This is the second Hurtta jacket I've purchased for my mini labradoodle. The first jacket is almost seven years old and still in great shape - waterproof with a thick lining for cold weather but she needed a quality unlined raincoat for walks during warm, rainy days in the PNW.This jacket checked all of my boxes and fit perfectly out of the box. I love that these jackets go on/off easily and keeps most of my dog's stomach dry and clean. The quality of the stitching is impeccable and I always appreciate the reflective designs Hurtta puts on the outside of their dogwear, especially when we're walking at dawn or dusk.Hurtta jackets are a prime example of getting what you pay for. They are not cheap, nor is the quality of material or their workmanship. I look forward to many, many more years of using these two jackets and absolutely recommend them to others.

Best dog rain coat!!
If any of you have a doodle, this is your dog coat. To keep mine from getting wet, which means matted, I broke down and got this coat after hearing a friend rave about Hurtta products. I didn’t need warmth, my doodle has enough fur for All of the dogs, and I wanted something I could use year round for snow and rain. The fit is perfect, I have a 60 lb labradoodle (medium-large build) and she wears a size 24 perfectly. The belly flap might be my favorite part because it keeps her undercarriage dry and helps prevent wet splatter on her upper legs too. It fits nicely over her harness or you can clip a leash to their collar. Great product. She doesn’t even try to take it off!!!!

Seriously cut down the amount of time spent drying...
We live in the Pacific Northwest. It rains - quite a bit in the winter. Our large German Shepherd doesn't care if it's raining. He wants out. It took a couple of tries to get the right sizing (pay attention to the withers to tail measurement as our dog's measurements put him in a larger size coat than what fits him appropriately). This is easy to put on, reflects well, and keeps the dog mostly dry. I wish that the under belly portion had more coverage as that is where all the road/sidewalk grime gets kicked up. However, this has significantly reduced the time spent drying him off after walks. I would recommend this to anyone dealing with PNW style climates.

BUY IT!!! 100% worth every penny!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. AMAZING!!! So glad I found this brand! Whoever designed this dogs coat is a Genius!!! (Attached a video/picture for anyone curious what looks like on a medium sized, short dog) You get what you pay for and this coat is very well made! Good material, and they did not cut corners. Used it the 1st day I got it since it was raining, and I must say I was IMPRESSED!!! He was 90% dry after a 2 mile walk in the rain (I only needed 1 towel to dry off his feet and head after the walk vs the 3-4 I normally need) and he fit the coat perfectly. I measured just like the chart shown, got him the 22” and he’s about 60-62lbs with thick neck and slightly wide chest, which this coat fits perfect! He was still able to walk/run/stretch (also potty approved) in it without being restricted. So relieved to have found a coat that not only fits well and keeps him dry but also is NOT insulated. He’s 50% Australian Shepherd, has medium length hair and a undercoat from hell that keeps him toasty so he doesn’t need extra warmth in the winter or especially when it’s currently 60-70 degrees where I am. I looked for a long time to find a coat that was made for a dogs body shape, waterproof and did NOT have heavy insulation for winter and here it is!!! THANK YOU HURTTA :)

You get what you pay for!
Yes this is pricey for a dogs raincoat! But after wasting money an cheaper ones that either didn’t fit or didn’t function properly or of poor quality I decided to take a Chance. It was worth every penny and you truly get what you pay for. First of all the quality of the fabric and the construction is top notch. The fit is EXACTLY as expected after following the manufacturers sizing instructions. Don’t blame them if it doesn’t fit! It’s likely because you didn’t FULLY read their advice and instructions. The neck shroud and hind quarters coverage is my favorite part. Although this particular style does not provide for full belly coverage (basically just a securing strap), my dog is very tall and his belly never gets wet. Keep this in mind if purchasing. Also this is a lightweight rain jacket and not insulated for cold weather. It can used over other layers if need be. But I purchased it more for summer rain storms. It will protect against strong driven winds for sure. Good luck

Excellent Quality
I hardly ever write glowing reviews, but I bought two of these for my dogs, as we walk in the rain daily. The coats are extremely well made with lots of very nice details. These include the collar which is high enough to keep a lot of moisture out, but not too high to annoy the pups or obscure their vision and sniffing. The coats feature a panel on the back that has an opening to attach leashes to back harness loops. It has snaps on either side so it stays secure. One dog, the coat fit perfectly. My other dog, I had to exchange for a larger size. With him, I ended up needing to gently stitch the leg loops to make them a little smaller so it will stay aligned. I wish those leg loops could be adjustable. The coats have a strap that goes around the middle and clips on top of the back, and this keeps the coat in place, and also helps some with protecting their underside. Side panels have an attractive reflective design.

I was so hopeful
Excellent design and quality - unfortunately my zeppelin shaped weimaraner was swimming in this (even with the multiple adjustment points). Just because a dog is long, it doesn't mean they are also wide and beefy. We had the same problem finding a harness to fit, so Hurtta isn't the only brand that doesn't work for us.It would have definitely been worth the money if the fit was right.

A bit on the expensive side but worth every penny
I’ve been eyeing this dogs jacket for a while but the price tag felt bit high. After trying a variety of cheaper coats that would not last or provide the desired protection I got fed up and decided to try this one. I live in the north of England and the weather tends to be quite awful so most of the walks over the autumn/winter are very wet and muddy. I needed something with enough rain resistance and a shield from mud as one of my dogs is white with semi-long coat which seems to be a magnet for dirt. The cover over the belly was a big deal for me, but in a way it’s still comfortable for my dogs.I must say this is ticking all the boxes and I’m very impressed. The coat is high quality, easy to put on and adjust to fit the dogs. It’s absolutely beautiful and my dogs look well cool. It’s made solid and I’m convinced it will last for years. There’s no velcro or zips that tend to be the first thing to go in other coats. There’s also great attention to details that I love about it and the neck part provides more comfort and protection. When it comes to sizing I used just the length of the back as the other measurements seemed to be much larger than my dogs, so I was a bit worried it will be too large but it was just fine. I managed to get all 3 sizes right, my smallest dog - a collie cross is 49cm/19in long and I got 18in size for him. For the middle one, collie cross as well, 54cm/21in long I got 20in size. My largest dog was most tricky as he’s a dwarf so his body is not in proportion, he’s unusually long, but the rest of his body is not as big. He’s 59cm/23in long and size 22inches fits him perfectly. I think it worked right as my dogs are pretty slim, but if you have a Labrador or something chunkier it may not work the same.Another big plus is that it dries very fast so no problem to use again in the evening even if you got drenched in the morning. This coat tackles quite a lot of issues I experienced with other coats. It fits well over a harness and has a clever solution as to how to attach the lead - this is more often than not a big issue for cheaper coats. The rubber bands in the back for once seems to be comfortable enough to use them, in other coats I had to chop it off as my dogs wouldn’t accept wearing them. It doesn’t seem to bother them in this one. The reflective additions are an integral part of a coat. I had them peel off other coats but I’m confident this won’t be the case with this oneAll in all, worth the investment and I’m glad I got them.

Excellent raincoat for dogs that don’t like coats
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. After much searching we can highly recommend Jet’s new raincoat. He had very specific needs - waterproof but not fleece lined as he doesn’t need added warmth, needed to be quiet so no rustling fabric, doesn’t restrict him running and leaping after the ball like a lunatic, easy to put on and off, fits over his harness with a hole for clipping his lead on, fast drying, machine washable etc. We tried a load of different ones but this Hurtta coat ticks all the boxes. I thought he would take a while to get used to it but he seems to like wearing it straight away. Amazingly he doesn’t mind the leg straps either despite not normally tolerating anything around his back legs. Expensive but worth every penny

Great Coat for these rainy days.
This coat is brilliant, it tightens with elastic in all the right places to keep the dog as dry as possible. Simba loves it too!

Double check size received.
The coat itself is good quality. But I actually received a size bigger than I ordered. We desperately needed the coat for wild camping in Scotland so haven’t sent it back for exchange. While frustrating The coat seems adjustable enough to ensure it fits. But it is very long in depth down my puppy’s back legs and collects a lot of water from grass. I’m hoping as my pup is 9 months that he will grow into it more.
