Exactly What I needed to repair my RV ladder. Cut off about an inch. Very easy to do.

I attached these to the ladder instead of drilling into my coach. If you attach to your coach you would need something more substantial than a thin fiberglass or metal surface .

Easy to cut to the length I needed and installed in a lower spot after I backed camper into a structure and bent the original supports.

When this product is manufactured and shipped - they should leave the bolt holder/flange out and not install it. It's likely anyone purchasing this will need to cut it to length for their application and it would be much easier installing the flange (since it only goes in one way) AFTER you cut it. I figured out I had to cut to length first, then push the flange out (screwdriver pushing it one direction) and then I was back in business.

J'en ai installé une paire sur mon échelle de motorisé. Ils viennent avec les deux vis et les deux écrous spéciaux qui vont dans le tuyau. J'ai coupé un des deux bouts avec une scie à fer car j'avais besoin de 8 pouces. J'ai ensuite coupé juste derrière l'écrou spécial et je l'ai ensuite poussé avec un tournevis pour le sortir et le mettre sur le bout restant de 8 pouces.It comes with the two screws for each end. It has also the two special nuts inside each end. I cut with a metal saw 8" lenght. Then I cut again just behind the special nut I wanted to recover, then I push out this special nut with a screwdriver. I then put this special nut back in the 8" lenght tube.

Took advice from another review and cut the tube to the length I needed. Then cut just behind the other star washer so I could save it and insert it into my now shorter tube. The thread size of the new assembly was smaller than what was used originally on my RV so I had to drill out the rivits and and replace the OEM bolt with the new one provided. Now my ladder is nice and tight !!

Easily shortened to desired length . This was a replacement for my motor home ladder and it was virtually identical to my original once I adjusted the length.
