I bought this after being impressed by the author's previous book "Totally Tangled"; "Yoga for your Brain" is much more of a book of creative ideas related to zentangle inspired art.I feel inspired by this book, but it certainly isn't for those starting out and wanting to know the basics of zentangle. Although it does present the reader with many tangle patterns, its main purpose is to inspire the creation of tangles and using them in interesting ways, such as decorating stones.Highly recommended for those who have learned a few basic patterns and are maybe wondering what the point is of spending time drawing them. This book inspired me to taken zentangling a step further into the creation of works of art and even useful things such as the decoration of my zentangling supplies box.

I bought this because is was a 'Design Originals' book and know that they are usually very good.I am very pleased with it as it gives you excellent instructions for starting to finishing many different named zentangle patterns.Also how to draw many different variations of a same pattern, which is good advise for embellishing our own drawings by using our imagination. A nice little book which, for the price, I felt might have been somewhat larger.

Get your old grey matter in trim. Fun to do anywhere. Take a small notebook on holiday and you can fill your spare time, waiting for buses or trains just doodling. Helps you switch off from problems and immerse yourself in a bit of artistic therapy.

I love Sandy's work, her patterns are inspirational and her instructions are so clear. There's always a pattern to be found and she gives you the confidence to look at the world in a different way.

This book was just what I had hoped for and more, I really love it and would recommend it for anyone who is just beginning or already enjoying zentangle.

This book assumes a basic knowledge of Zentangle but is a fabulous read and full of helpful tips - loving it

Some nice ideas for Zentangle and also encouraging to make up your own, showing how to get ides from the world around you.

I found this book by chance while browsing for other items. I had never heard of Zentangle so I got curious and bought the book. It left me feeling like there was so much more to know before reaching this book and I didn't know how to use the tips or excessive described in the book. But I guess if you have experience with Zentaglr then this might be the right book for you.

This is probably my favorite Zentangle book of the 6 I purchased in the last 4 months. I like the pretty designs. I am enjoying keeping a Zentangle journal and getting in touch with my right brain. :o) It is fun! Even when I made a Zentangle card and the recipient said "what is it?" I was not discouraged. (She just did not have an appreciation for my newly found creative expression :o) Easy, portable, creative hobby! Have Zentangled in the rain and sun while camping, waiting for a funeral to begin, sitting in car waiting for daughter during dance lessons and piano lessons...just grab my little plastic box (ArtBin Magnetic Storage Case works for me...approx 7" x 9"...got it on sale for $10 at JoAnn's Crafts) filled with supplies and take it everywhere for those times there are a few minutes to relax. My 9 year old daughter loves it too! I made her a box for Valentines Day filled with supplies and even created a picture to go on the front of her box so we can distinguish hers and mine.
