Overpriced placebo
I think the minimalist packing and candle are the appeal here. The scent has NOTHING to do with Philly; however, your mind tells you when you light it "man....thats philly right there" (its not). Don't get me wrong, it smells great and looks neat....but it is extremely overpriced.

Candle was not right. The scent was off, and I’ve had these before.
I’ve bought these candles before from buccees. They were actually $2 cheaper At expensive buccees than on Amazon but the convenience of Amazon was better so I just ordered 2 any way. I’ve always loved the “Dallas” scent that homesick offers but both of these are not right. Not sure if they’ve been through some weird temperature changes or if it was a bad manufacturing day. They do not even smell like a candle. They smell only of pure rubbing alcohol. Both of them. I thought maybe it’s just the top. So I lit them anyway. 30 min later, they still just smell of rubbing alcohol.

Boston candle smells really good!
The scent is good, it smells a bit like a London Fog tea drink and patchouli. The scent throw is nice and it burns to the edge. The picture above was after 5 hours of burn the day before, so it burns to the edge if you give it time. I recommend for those looking for a good tea scented candle! Or a pleasant fall scent alternative to apple/ pumpkin spice.

Okay, weird how spot-on this scent is
Recently moved away from the LA area. Love everything about my new home but LA’s that first love you never *really* get over. This scent nails it. It’s a sunny Pasadena afternoon, it’s a Spring walk through Descanso gardens, it’s a late morning stroll through the Rose Bowl flea, it’s a sunset at the observatory when everyone claps the moment the sun drops. It’s a hot, crowded summer freeway with the windows open and the sun’s beating down and maybe you just left a Lush store and the warmth is heating up the bag and your whole car smells like happiness and you can’t imagine living anywhere else except maybe somewhere with better cost of living so you move and buy a candle and get all of that back.

A great candle with a wonderful smell
Having lived here for 15 years, the candle doesn’t really smell like NYC, but It’s light and citric.The candle burns clean down to the bottom. You could even use the jar when it’s done.

Incorrect and a no show
Extremely disappointed ! Ordered 2 Hawaii candles and 1 New Mexico, this my second order after purchasing these last year. I received 2 Chicago candles and no New Mexico candle. As the “Hawaiian” candles were wrapped by me as gifts I wasn’t aware of error until after Christmas....nor have I had an update rd the no show NM candle. Had been so pleased with previous order, this a big disappointment
