Can you use to sing live?

You could in a pinch, but I'd recommend something higher quality for vocals. This is more meant for speaking.

How do you charge the batteries? is there another cable needed, or something else like a igo charger?

It takes AA batteries. At Church we use rechargeable batteries, which requires a seperate charger.
