Just amazing
I can't imagine what happened in her lifetime, so many references to life, eternity, light and pain! I only wish I had her talent! What a blessing and curse to have autism.

A witty conglomeration of bitter and sweet
Sweet-dark is a witty conglomeration of bitter-sweet. Often existential and always thought-provoking, Savannah Brown proves herself a master of linguistics with her ability to decrypt the inarticulable. The author is humbly enlightened as to only hint at her experience with the utmost high (ego death, psychic death, the void), as it becomes apparent in her anthology to those who have been through the same.Terence McKenna said, “The syntactical nature of reality, the true nature of magic, is that the world is made of words. And if you know the words that the world is made of, you can make of it whatever you wish.” Savannah brown knows what the words are made of. The words in this book come from the soul, and I bought this book out of empathy for someone whom I can relate; I want the author to know that she is understood. But she knows that. After all, when you know what the words are made of, you come to find that we are equal parts of the same whole, longing to be understood by masquerades of ourselves.

the sweetest ache in the hollow, comforting darkness
An epithet for the end of the world and the end of every silver of time in the messy, beautiful lives of humanity

Really good poetry collection
Discovered Sav from youtube. This is the first time I've read a collection by Savannah Brown and I really love it! I think this is one of those poetry collections that I've had a re-read because of it's really good. I think that for readers who are interested to dig into the poet reading pile should definitely check Sav's collection for contemporary poetry.

Love savannah brown!!!
10/10 would recommend to the “I’m struggling with life but want to see the beauty in things but also overthink them and think of everything in a conflicting is this good or is this bad type of way- confused on the reality of content-ness kind of type person” I personally loved the poems. <3

Pretty sounding, but hard to follow.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I really want to like it (and in some ways I do), but I just can't seem to understand it. Every stanza of the poems sounds breathtaking, but all together I have no idea what she's trying to say in the poems, and honestly it makes me not want to read it because I end up frustrated. The blurb described the book as "philosophical" and I would say that is accurate. I get a really strong feeling of exploration and philosophy from her poems so if that's your style then you'd probably enjoy this book! The poems are well crafted even though they confuse me. But if you're looking for an easy read this is definitely not for you.

This is some of Savannah’s best work yet! Genuinely some of the most moving poetry I’ve read in a while 💙

Loved it!
I love dark and depressing poetry and this really filled the void for me. I love the author's prose in this.

Quite boring, bad pacing and a handful of memorable lines
Quite disappointed, this collection isn't as whimsical or daring as her previous writings. Still, Savannah is a talented writer, this was just a disappointing second collection. The poems feel drawn out yet half baked.
