Accurate, easy to read
I verified the accuracy of this thermometer by comparing its readings to those of a Fluke Instruments thermocouple K type thermometer. The two were always within a degree from 190F down to 125F. Response time is decent but not as fast as the thermocouple. I can't offer any thoughts on longevity since it's a new purchase.

One of the BEST of this type!
I had for many years the OLD Cooper meat thermometer. After almost 45 years, it seemed to stop working. I bought several others but none of them kept accurate temps. Finally, I will say this is probably the most accurate one of this type on the market right now.
