With apple moving to usb-c (probably the iphone will in 2023), i'm concerned about future compatibility. can an adapter work?

Any attachment that would let you convert this to a hand-held mic?

Keep getting a static "popping" feedback. I use Phone 11 and have switched out headphones and cables, cleaned the contacts on both ends..thoughts?
