Delicate but practical Gaiwan
I bought this Gaiwan (color #20). May 22, 2015 and I have used it almost everyday since then. I loved how thin and delicate without seeming cheaply made this was. It had nice thin edges so you would not burn your fingers when pouring out the tea.I am writing in the past tense as I was washing it today and it slipped out of my hand the lid broke in the sink.I do plan on buying another one, and being much more careful! If you have not tried Gongfu tea brewing in a Gaiwan before, search Google and you will see how much of a fun experience this method can be. It's especially suited for lose tea leaves. This Gaiwan is the perfect size for drinking straight from it or It will make enough to fill two 50ml size ta cups.

This teapot is wonderful. I've purchased 4 of these for myself, plus another 4 that I've given away as gifts. While the description says it's 200 ml, it effectively holds about 150 ml, which I think is a perfect size. I use it often for teas that need water hotter than 90°C (195°F). It's also great for teas that have allot of smaller pieces (ie the tail end of a tin of tea leaves) that would be lost using a gaiwan. It's also excellent to use for Pu'erh teas which can be brewed 8 or 10 times. I use a pointy bamboo tong uxcell Pointy Tip Bamboo Straight Tweezer Tea Tong Handy Tool to lift the wire basket out of the hot tea.

Perfect.
Lovely gaiwan for gongfu. I almost got one of the more modern glass or plastic ones, which have varying accounts of cracking, not being BPA free, etc. I avoided all this with a classic porcelain gaiwan. Perfect.

It's a easy use pot, small enough to carry and big enough for 2 people drink.
