Vivarium Electronics DS-6000 Digital Scale (Reptile Basics)

Very nice quality scale, metal construction feels nice and sturdy. It's smaller than I thought it would be but it's still big enough for me to weigh my ball python on. I like how the detachable tray flips over onto it so you can stick it in a drawer to store it without taking up a lot of space. Nice clesr readout and easy to use. Seems accurate.

I love it. It works great for my smallest lizard up to my biggest ball python. I was very impressed by how accurate it is. I was a little nervous about how small it is. the bowl will only hold a small ball python no more then 1000 grams. But your able to sit a bigger bowl on it and weigh bigger snakes. It came in great shape and I love it

I’ve used a lot of various scales through the years, most where inexpensive units less than 20 dollars however those generally experienced short lifespans due to one reason or another.This brought me to the DS-6000, I use several of reptile basics/vivarium electronics tub racks and thermostats and thought I’d give their scale a try, glad I did! The scale itself is sturdy, well built, and stays level on the shelf. The added tray is great for even my larger snakes (2000 gram+ short tails), the whole unit is easy to clean, and has no difficulty accurately displaying the weight of even my most freshly hatched ball python babies. Unit of measure can be switched with a simple toggle on the underside of the scale (almost always use grams unless I am weighing the tegu!) and display is nice and easily readable as well. Over all the unit is streamlined, simple to operate and seems sturdy enough to last for quite a while. If you’re working with small and medium sized animals I highly recommend it!

This works perfect, very accurate but smaller than expected. It's for reptiles but I thought I could atleast fit a baby bunny in it but I couldn't lol so I returned it. Really good. Can read up to point something of an oz.

Seems to be accurate, give or take a gram or so. It goes in increments of 1 and I wish it was a bit more specific, but it’ll work. The dish is also pretty small. I can make it work for my one beardie since she’s smaller than average, but I can’t use the dish for my larger beardie. Overall I’m satisfied!

Easy to use and good scale for the money

This is a good quality scale and if you treat it right it could last you for years to come with no issues. I use it to weigh my ball pythons and it works phenomenally. The only thing I would say is to include a bigger tray. My snakes tend to outgrow it quickly.
