Soundtrack (1984)

It's a shame Toto didn't do more soundtracks as this is a classic. And the brief contribution by Eno is naturally fantastic. However, this reissue is disappointing for the price (around £30 at time of writing). While the album sounds great on vinyl, it should have been a gatefold release including preferably a booklet covering this interesting film and it's music. Instead, it's a rather cheap card sleeve (tiny bits of it had made their way into the inner sleeve and onto the vinyl) and includes a poster (never seen the point) which inhibits the removing and reinserting of the record if you wanted to keep the poster inside the sleeve. Not great. But I suppose it's still an essential purchase if you love the film and its soundtrack.
