Excellent Home-Use Tool
We recently had the need for a tin snip for a small home repair (cutting screening) but did not have one. Luckily, we had a flooring installer doing work at our house, so we borrowed his. We then decided to buy one for ourselves. We looked at different store websites and finally decided on this one at Amazon, primarily because of cost and good ratings. We received it quickly and were very satisfied with the quality of the tool. Coincidentally, we were able to use it right away on another project. We expect to use it infrequently for home projects, and we know it will do the job.

Powerful; made for larger hands
I tried these out, and they do cut very well. They are well-built, and heavy duty.I have smallish hands, so I some difficulty using the handles, as, when open, they are very wide. However, I 'choked up' on the grip with the finger support by using my middle finger or ring finger in it.This allowed me to get a good grip with some power, and cut pretty well. These are nicely finished, and appear to be a quality tool that will last a long while.

Work and feel great
These work great, and feel fairly sturdy and solid when you hold them. Certainly very high quality for the price. Cuts through metal like butter (okay, maybe slightly cold butter :).

hardy for its price, very handy too
I don't know how long it will last and it certainly can't cut much more than very lightweight stuff; but I needed exactly this tool to cut the thin metal strips that sweep the floor under doors. I've since learned that most handymen have one in their toolbox too. Mine was cheaper & is a little lighter weight but seems every bit as good.

Replaced UTILITY SHEARS...
These locking tin-snips have been my long awaited replacement item / tool and for the utility shears that I keep breaking! Perfect. Same item as in big box stores. Nearly same price. A win-win!

Not What I expected
Package was perfect but it's a little loose at the point of the joining points , keep having to tighten the rivot points to keep it straight impossible to keep straight cut

They cut like a knife through hot butter.
The awning over my back porch fell of last April. I knew I wound have to cut it up to get it out of my yard. these work great on the aluminum sheet. When it gets warm enough to be out side I can get the job done quick and cheap.

Good Snips
I used these to cut some wires that had been put on a tree and the tree had grown around them. They cut with ease and very sturdy. They have a comfortable design. I would recommend

decent, but skews apart on some cuts
decent, but blades skew apart slightly on some cuts, so the wire goes between the blade and doesn't cut.get what you pay for?
