I'm always excited to try a new energy drink. I was immediately intrigued by TerraPick GXG Energy Drink, a weaving together of ginseng and ginger into a 3.7-fluid ounce bottle that is far more generous than I expected and a definite notch above most energy shot type drinks.If you've ever tried a ginseng product, then you kind of have an idea of what to expect here. This energy drink looks, smells, and tastes like ginseng. There's no question that the ginseng dominates the ginger and truly defines the energy drink. The taste is very rootsy - after all, ginseng is a root. This ginseng is Korean Black Ginseng and the product is a Korean-made product. Black Ginseng is generally believed to have a higher absorption rate than other types of ginseng.This product approved very nicely packed. Each of the individual 12-bottles were nicely protected and the bottles themselves are quite sturdy. This energy drink is vegan, caffeine free, and dairy-free. It should be a given, but this is not intended for kids. They also advise not to drink more than three per day.I've had ginseng before and am used to the taste. I wouldn't call it pleasant, however, I find it tolerable and I tend to find the energy boost from ginseng to feel more natural without the usual intense crash. It doesn't have quite the skyrocketing energy boost - it's more of a slow and steady energy boost. It does subside a little more quickly than I'd prefer, though overall I'm quite pleased here and would easily continue to drink it.There's no indication this needs to be chilled. I'd actually prefer this as I prefer colder energy drinks and it might help with the taste, but this is clearly in the "energy shot" category and it mostly delivers on its promise.This energy drink was a pleasant surprise. It's at the price point of most premium energy shots and these bottles actually offer a bit more than the usual 1 or 2-ounce energy shots. While those who don't like ginseng won't likely like this energy shot since that's the dominant taste and smell here, for those seeking a more balanced energy boost this is a winner.

Wow, you can really taste the ginseng in this but the bitter taste is mitigated by fructose. But Wait! Look at the ingredients. What you're tasting isn't natual ginseng but ginseng "flavors."Batural flavors often have additional ingredients in them like preservatives and stabilizers to make the flavors work better in the food. But those additional ingredients don’t have to come from natural sources. Second, the FDA doesn’t require companies to disclose the specific ingredients included in the natural flavoring. So it’s impossible to know what ingredients are used–and whether you want to avoid them. For instance, vegans would want to steer clear of natural flavors that are derived from animals. And people with food allergies need to know exactly what a food contains.One thing for sure, it is plenty sweet. Fructose is the highest ingredient next to purified water. But it also contains xylitol, which is superconcentrated sweet.All of that said, it does taste plesant and provide some energy. However, if you are seeking real ginseng, not ginsent "flavor" look elsewhere. If ginger is what you're after, this bottle has none according to the ingredient list and ginger isn't exactly a high cost item.

Ginseng products often don't taste the best, but I love Ginger so would have been willing to give them a shot but they smell awful and I couldn't get past that. My husband was more game and gave them a try and said they don't taste as bad as they smell - in fact they don't really taste bad at all - more weird, but he wasn't inclined to try them again. These are on a par with the 4 hour energy shots that don't have caffeine, if they work for you then these probably would too. Neither my husband, nor I, get any kind of energy from any of these things and generally stick to caffeine. I would suggest finding them in a store where you could try 1 before committing to a 12 pack,

The media could not be loaded. The combination of ginseng and ginger is already very good in our incomprehensible pandemic time. And given what the manufacturer says about black ginseng, this raises the stakes even more. I didn't like the sugar content. Still, I consider 10 grams a lot for such a portion. If you expect that you will like the taste and you have never tried the two main ingredients of this drink, then this is not the place for you. Even considering the large amount of sugar, the taste is so-so, as they say to an amateur. But here you have to think not about the taste, but about the ingredients and the result. This packaging is for my wife. She is currently studying online in college and her classes sometimes go up to 10 ~ 12 hours and so on almost every day. Therefore, she needs a lot of mental energy and concentration. I also want to note that she has a very strong migraine. This is very important to know. The fact is that migraine can be activated by certain products, odors and so on. So this drink is very good for her.
