Currently enjoying this three CD compilation, the latest in the line of excellent "Gold" releases by Crimson at a low price. My parents used to have a Dr. Hook album that I'd listen to (A Little Bit More), so it brings back memories of my childhood, plus I've bought a few of their albums over the year myself, so this was a very easy purchase for me. This compilation covers all of their most prolific years and includes all of the singles they're famous for (Sylvia's Mother, A Little Bit More, If Not You, When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman) as well as plenty of tracks from their early years as Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show, with amusing songs such as The Cover Of The "Rolling Stone".Contents:CD1:1. the only thing we dont like about this cd is that it comes in a cardboard case rather than a proper plastic case. the tracks on it are of course in the old preverbial Dr hook style that we all remember! not all the old ones most are very new or at least new to us as we hav'nt bought a Dr hook album in yrs but from the 1st track to the last me & me wife were rockin, singin, & laughin our nuts off to coin phrase. They aint lost their touch one little bit, the quality of sound is there, the singing is clear, granted i had to play a couple of tracks a couple of times to actually catch what they said but when i caught it then i laughed, (well im 63 & going deef as the yanks would say i spose) all in all a crackin good must have album to put in your collection.

I bought this CD for my car and listen to it everyday. Love their music.

This personally is the best few Quid I have ever spent...Just great music ...combined with some great tracks that you can't help but smile at...Dr Hook were just so unique ..sadly something that is missing in todays chart music..This CD never strays far from my CD player cos its something that i never tire of hearing..Great collection at a great price..You can't go wrong.

I know I'm getting old, but the music tells a story rather than repeating 5 words over and over again. And the guy are clearly having fun singing it for us.
