What can you say about a little brown hammer? Perfectly sized for crafts. Cheap too or rather “au bon marché” in French is a good value, inexpensive but still a great deal. If you’re looking for a framing hammer- this ISN’T it! But for metal jewelry stamping this is quite adequate especially when used in conjunction with the stamping kit that I’ll also be reviewing separately.True story- my wife decided she wanted to make metal stamped jewelry- now I knew that this would be just like her wanting to do the juicing fad, the food dehydrator deal, starting to play golf, the whole skydiving thing, and even the MMA kickboxing thing. Naturally in all of those things, you want your bride to be safe and have the absolute best equipment available. Her safety is of the utmost importance. Not in this case!! Not only was this the cheapest hammer I could possibly find in stock, it is the best possible iteration of mini hammer that I could possibly buy that will collect dust just like the REST of the stuff that she took a whim and wanted to “try out”. So to me, that’s PERFECT!!! 5 STARS! Would buy again if she lost it and needed another one. She won’t, but I’d still buy another one.Much love- thanks for reading.LunchBox

Don't know how this would work for jewelry, but for nailing cable clips (the plastic U-shaped thingies that hold cables to the wall) this is the atom bomb. I had about 100 feet of cabling to run into a media room, and neither a regular hammer nor a tack hammer worked, as I had some really tight places to get the clips into. This was amazing, a nice, heavy head and I could get it close enough to get those small nails hammered in. Saved me enormous amounts of frustration. Should be pretty durable, I hammered in a ridiculous amount of those clips and the hammer still looks like new. Highly recommend!!

The hammer head is very well made and quality.The handle is not amazing though. Its made of pine and very light weight, which maybe thats what you want. But it makes the hammer feel unbalanced.The hammer is already so small, why make it lighter?I re-made the handle out of oak with a small steel weight in the bottom and now I l fully love this hammer.

Nice size, good for small work

J'ai acheté ce marteau pour mes enfants de 7 et 9 ans dans le cadre du string art. Son poids n'est pas trop lourd et la prise en main est parfaite. Pas de déformation du marteau constatée pour le moment.
