Review: these are fab trainers but strange sizing - I bought these trainers as they were highly recommended for zumba. I decided to judge for myself after reading reviews criticising the sizing and went for my normal size 4. On arrival they were clearly too large so I returned and bought a size smaller. I have given this a five star review because they are fabulous trainers but please take note of sizing issues.
Review: support - I ordered my usual size and these fit beautifully. A little adjustment with the shoe strings and the support I needed was achieved. My old shoes had the pivot point, the RYKA pivot is a more "grabby" something I think I can get use to. I'm 62 years old and been a Zumba addict for three years. This is a quality shoe, fun colors, great support, great cushion through out the sole. I would recommend this shoe for any aerobic dance student.

**Q: Can I use these for both walking and running?**
A: Yes! I use them for both as I cross train running and walking - usually up to 10 miles and these shoes are great!

**Q: I'm looking for shoes for underpronation (supination). A web page I found recommended these. Can anyone tell me if they know these are good for that?**
A: Although another commenter here indicated that a person who underpronated  ( she has supination) was not happy with the Ryka Women's Influence Trainer, my experience was quite the opposite. I found that these shoes are uniquely very comfortable for me.  Not only do I have supination, (high arches), my left foot has a bunion and my right foot has a problem called a Hallux varus. This is a condition affecting the big toe. As opposed to a bunion, which causes the big toe to point inward toward the other toes, hallux varus causes the big toe to point away from the other toes. This is a result of a bunionectomy that did not heal correctly. My second toe on the hallux varus foot was fractured in a bike vs car accident- and it is also problematic. I LOVE the Ryka Influence Cross Trainer. The roomy toe box is wonderful. I just bought my third pair. Maybe you might just try them on and see for yourself.

**Q: Does this sneaker have a removable insole? Thanks.**
A: Yes, it does! I didn't think so when I first looked, but you can remove the insole with a fingernail between the wall of the shoe and the edge of the insole. I don't think they're washable though...perhaps hand wash but definitely not machine washable, at least I wouldn't risk it. Hope this helps! I learned something so thanks!

**Q: Are these shoes flexible**
A: I wear these for kick boxing and there’s enough flexibility for that. Was exactly what I was looking for.

I really like these shoes. I waited to write this review to see how they are after one month of Zumba classes. They are very comfortable. Spins are easy with these shoes. I bought the same size I buy in regular sneakers. Other shoes I got first and did not like: Zumba Impact - Too big. The size I wear in street shes would have been the right size to get. Just not comfortable at all. Ryka Rhythmic+ - Very flat. Did not have the support needed for dance. Bloch Lightning II - Rough spin spot. I imagine it would have gotten less rough as I used them. They were very tight, and I just did not like the way they felt. So this shoe, The Ryka Influence, is the one I love. It is supposed to be for cross training. It works great as dance shoes because of the spin spot, supportive sole, and comfort. I am very happy I got these!
