No More Smells
We currently have this item as a “Subscribe and Save” order that comes in monthly. We have two diaper genies, one in the 1 month old baby room downstairs by our bedroom, and the second upstairs in our two year olds’ bedroom.First off, you can’t beat the price you get from the combined Amazon Mom discount and “Subscribe and Save” order. It doesn't get any cheaper than this…As far as the product, it works really well. The genie bags last quite a while, and they do cover up the smell very well. One thing I didn't realize for quite a while since I never read instructions is that there is a built-in ‘knife’ that will cut the bags for you. When you open the diaper genie, you can cut the top of the bag by using a hidden cutting mechanism which is in the middle of the diaper genie.I have never had a diaper bag tear or rip, or have anything leak outside of the bags. This is the best product for hiding the smells, and it is small enough to put anywhere.

Phenomenal price, beats TARGET and WALMART. Stuff your toddler's "stuff" for less.
Very good price for something you will need about 116 times per year. 6-8 diaper changes per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year is 2,912 diapers. These bags fit about 25 diapers easily, arguably you can stuff around 40, but that's "pushing it." The genie works great for not only storage but to keep the stink away from the room and be sanitary. It also beats rushing to the trash can after each change. So, this price beats TARGET and WALMART if you bought individually. As a stay at home Dad who did all the diapers for 2-3 years, I know what works and what doesn't. These work, hold your diapers and don't break unless you exceed the above. I would recommend EXTREMELY messy diapers be put in a separate bag and taken out for many reasons but mainly because the Genie is good but it is not the Diaper God.

Good product
Buying bulk of this item is a must. I am sure the majority of the people will purchase a Diaper Genie for their babies diapers. These bags are easy to use and hold smelly diapers very well. We bought the Diaper Genie for our dog waste. Rather than placing the doggy poopy bags in the trash can where it still attracts flies and gives off odors, we put this by the door in the garage and each week pull out the desired measurement and throw it out in the trash on trash day. No smell, no odor. If it works for diapers it will work for doggy bags!!!!!

Perfect Fit for Diaper Genie Elite
These were a perfect fit for our diaper genie Elite. I don't know what people are talking about that these aren't the same thing because they look exactly the same as the ones that originally came with our diaper genie from Babies R' Us. We had no problems with them fitting and they are far cheaper to purchase on Amazon than they are in our local stores. I will definitely buy them again. Just make sure your buying them for the right Diaper Genie specified and you should have no problems.EXTRA $$$$ Saving HELPFUL TIP: To get the most use out of these I don't use the cutter mechanism on the diaper genie because I was noticing that it wasted too much of the refill. Instead I keep a pair of scissors nearby and cut it when the bag needs changing. These really extends the life of my refills. I am getting a good 3-4 weeks or more out of each refill by doing this.

Almost perfect...
My wife and I have used the Diaper Genie II "Elite" for the past two years for our daughter. I have found it to be largely durable and just as advertised in terms of containing the smell. There does seem to be one point of weakness though (which may or may not be unavoidable due to the design) where as about 6 months ago, the piece of perforated plastic which secures the top lid broke from just the every day stress of needing to resist the force of the footpedal. That being said, I managed to jury-rig a fix, with an old credit card and some super glue, such that now it works again, but alas, not quite as well as before. The one incredible positive that I would recommend though (If you can or have a husband who can stomach the brief smell) is the fact that because the bags are so durable/strong, when changing them out (before you cut the bag and tie it off), you can actually push down all the diapers, squeezing out most of the air (flows into bag above) and therefore almost creating a vacuum of just very "dense diaper mass." At this point, I simply use a twist tie to seal the top and cut it free from the liner. Then simply squeeze (this is the "smelly part" -I would recommend doing this in an open air/outside area if possible) the remaining air out. In this way, I have managed to stretch one refill for up to a month and a half (using size 3 diapers, would be longer with smaller diapers probably). In researching alternatives (e.g. the Munchkin product) it seems like this would be impossible due to the individual nature of each refill. Hope this helps...

Love my Genie and love the refills.
I love my Diaper Genie! When I was pregnant, I was told that they didn't work well an wouldn't control smells. Not accurate. They're easy to empty, and the bags work great. We have several for our house, so we buy a lot of the refills, but they still last a long time and work really well. The mechanism snaps closed so all of the smells stay inside. Our dogs don't even pay any attention to it. It's the least expensive one on the market and the best one, in my opinion. Big thumbs up.

Make 3 wishes!
Hide the diapers, hide the smell and be easy to use. Granted! We love our Diaper Genie bags and it has lasted us now for 2 1/2 years. The refills are great and do a really good job at whisking away dirty diapers and smell but the older the child gets the more the smell overpowers the diaper genie bags. All this means is that you dispose of the diapers more often. The great thing is that the bag system makes it easy to do a small bag disposal or use it for a large bag disposal so you don't feel you are wasting bags. A bit pricy but worth it!!!
