Kensington Rose Matelasse Bedding, Bedspread Queen Size 102-Inch by 120-Inch, Yellow

This is quite simply a very lovely bedspread. I have had several nice compliments on it. It is on the bed in our guest room and truly adds a lot to what was once my son's bedroom. It has dressed the room up to be "quite nice" but still comfortable enough not to be afraid of using it. I have grandchildren and although they do not put things directly on the bed, occassionaly someone will slip up. I have spot cleaned a few areas with simple soap and water with a clean rag, and it cleaned up beautifully. It is delightfully LARGE, something I find very hard to acquire in some stores. It fits down on both sides of the bed within 4 to 6 inches of the floor and there is more than enough room lengthwise to cover huge kingsize pillows. I am very pleased with this bedspread and am planning on buying another one in white for my bedroom soon. This has a lovely pattern in it and I couldn't be happier with it. It was packaged nicely but not elaborately, but I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good weight nice bedspread in a heavyweight cotton. It has a nice sheen to the material too.

This is a very elegant bedspread and if it lasts as long as my last Matelasse spread (about 20 years) well worth the money. I bought a king-sized spread for a queen mattress because I wanted it to reach the floor all the way around and not use a mattress skirt. It is of such generous proportions it more than meets that expectation. I'm not a fan of the comforter/duvet look and don't need that much 'stuff' on my bed. This is perfect. Would recommend this enthusiastically.

Every coverlet I have purchased for my oversized queen sleigh bed has always been too short to cover the mattress and box spring. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase the white (a shade darker than winter white) queen size bedspread which would allow for shrinkage. The bedspread arrived very quickly and I am particularly delighted with the quality and the embossed print; it is so soft. Although I normally wash "everything" before using or wearing I was eager to get the bed made to see how it would look. The bedspread looks amazing and there is plenty of room for shrinkage, I had to tuck the sides into the side rails for now and it is long enough to tuck your pillows into. I misunderstood the product title believing it came with the shams; it states bedspread "OR" shams! I will update this review after washing.

I read a lot of reviews, and then hit "1-click" without realizing I did. So I bought it. Nice surprise! It arrived on time, and unlike some reviewers noted, it has no objectionable smell at all. It smelled like a new cotton garment. No chemical smell. I spread it on my bed immediately to ensure it would fit. Plenty large. I understand it will shrink, but I have not washed it yet. The fold lines have almost disappeared. It is BEAUTIFUL! I just love what this does to my bed and my bedroom's look! And it is a nice, weighty feeling under it, but not too hot. So perfect for these warm summer nights! And I just love that design. I have no complaints, only praise. (Honestly, it makes me feel like an adult. lol)

This is a really nice bed spread. Very happy with the quality. I have a Queen sized bed so went with the recommendation to go with a King size since people were saying it shrunk after they washed theirs. I wish I had gotten the Queen. Mine did not shrink all that much. I first washed it as directed. It did not shrink near enough. Then I washed it in hot and dried it in a hot drier. It did shrink some more, but not quite enough. I would recommend the King if you have a extra thick mattress, but not if you have a regular mattress. The King hits the floor and I would have liked it to hit about an inch off the floor on both sides of the bed. Still very happy with my purchase.

The overall look is lovely. I bought the full size for a full bed. The width is almost enough...a little skimpy. Does not reach the floor on the sides as I would like. Length could also be a bit more in order to reach the floor and easily tuck around pillows. Afraid of what will happen when washed. Maybe the queen size would have been better.

Great after first washing. Lovely color, cream with a faint touch of Yellow.I would have prefered pure cream. Arrived with a slight odor which washesout completely. Four stars is because of the odor.

This fits the King sized pillows perfectly. Beautiful on the bed and matches the bedspread perfectly.I have not laundered it so don't know about shrinkage yet. Well made and a great quality for the price.Looks clean and elegant on the bed.After having this for a year I still have no complaints. I purchased the white and even on a ranch it has done well and fits the king sized bed wonderful. It is a heavy well made spread.
