Airline approved light weight soft sided pet carrier. Superior 3 sided ventilation. Carrier size is 12" Height x 10" Width x 15"Length. Review: High quality product - I got two of these for my two cats and they were exactly what I was looking for. I mainly will use them for transporting the cats to and from my RV, and wanted something that would fold flat and also allow for transport on an airplane. They seem to be very well made and versatile at a reasonable price. They are perfect sized for my smaller, 9 lb cat but just a little small for my larger cat (10 lbs but large frame). She can just barely stand without putting her head up so I considered rating them 4 stars but, if they were any larger, they might not fit under an airplane seat, so it may be the best possible compromise. I put some catnip in and left the carriers on the floor for several days, and found both cats went in on their own to explore and then sit. Having the top and side openings is very useful and also the flaps can be partly zipped and folded in allowing for any amount to privacy or ventilation desired (but never close all the flaps at the same time!!!). They smell a bit plastic-y but the cats did not seem to mind. Hopefully that will dissipate with time. I am very pleased with my purchase. Review: Bought this carrier for traveling with a parrot - I have not traveled with this yet. I wanted to point out that the directions for installing the horse-shoe shaped supports need a better drawing, and it should not be shown on an adhesive label stuck to the plastic shipping bag. The illustrations in the directions are annoyingly small, so it's hard to see that there are THREE slip pockets for installing the support- one small pocket on each side of the opening, inside the carrier, near the bottom of the carrier. The THIRD slip pocket runs across the top of the opening on the inside of the carrier. It is a longer pocket, and you'll have to be careful not to bend the support too far, otherwise it will get a crease that may cause the support to fold in on itself. Install, and repeat on the other end of the carrier. Once you install the supports in all 3 pockets, the carrier maintains its shape. What I like most about this carrier is that it looks like a piece of overnight luggage, so that other passengers might not realize there is an animal inside. There is plenty of ventilation after you unzip and roll back all the flaps. The rubberized coating on the mesh has a strong odor, so be sure to air it out before you put your love bug in there. You can carry it by a padded handle on top, or use the shoulder strap. Unfortunately, the shoulder strap isn't long enough to wear the carrier cross-body, or to be easily able to slip it over your head before boarding. My recommendations are: lengthen the shoulder strap, provide more padding on the shoulder strap, provide a better drawing for the instructions, provide a better quality insert and attachment strap for the ID tag, You might also consider providing a way to insert perches, and lock them in place, for parrots so they don't have to walk in their droppings. Other than that, this is a very attractive and well-designed carrier.

Two thumbs Up!
I actually wanted the larger 17" length one, but none had the option of shipping to my country. So I bit the bullet and ordered this 15" one, all the time wondering if it would be too small for my 9-10kg (20-22 pounds) kitty. It is indeed a little more snug than I would have liked -- but seeing as this is for trips to the vet, and not for long-haul travel, it is fine. When cats are at or going to the vets', they are not exactly going to be all sprawled out. As you can see from the photo below, taken at the vets', there is still some room to spare. And if this oversized kitty fits in there, then the other regular-sized ones should have no problems. There are so many reasons to like this product:- Soft carriers are so much easier to handle than hard ones, especially when getting in and out of cabs. I really liked that there are privacy covers - shields kitty from rain when I am getting in and out of the cab, prevents curious dogs from peering into carrier and scaring my kitty, keep the cold from powerful airconditioning from chilling kitty. One of the reasons I chose this particular carrier over all the other soft carriers was the grid measurement of the mesh used - this is the only one I found that's big - the other carriers had meshes that are more like insect screens; and such a fine mesh in the hot humid conditions of this tropical isle would mean that the temperature IN the carrier would become too high for an already stressed kitty. The shoulder strap is another reason for choosing this carrier. Most of the other soft carriers had shoulder straps that are attached to the two ends of the carrier -- this means that, with the weight of the animal in there, the carrier would fold in on itself, with the strap pulling the two ends towards each other, thereby pressing in onto/against the animal's face. I don't know about kitty, but I sure wouldn't like that! Already, we are considering buying another for our multi-cat household -- never mind that we have like 6 hard carriers!

I liked this carrier very much
I liked this carrier very much. I did have to add some stronger support on the bottom of the carrier so it wouldn't bend. It worked great at first. My Shih Tzu has grown since I bought it and she is now 8 lbs 4 oz, she can just barely stand in it. I think it's too small for her now. It does fit perfectly under the seat on an airplane.

CARRIER IS WONDERFUL, OFFERING PRIVACY CURTAINS FOR OPENINGS! BUT NOT, NOT, NOT GOOD FOR ANY DOG!
ALTHOUGH HARD TO FIGURE TO PUT TOGETHER AT FIRST ... WISH THE UNIT CAME WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PUT TOGETHER ... IT HAS HALF-HOOPS TO HOLD UP THE INSIDE WITH SLIP POCKETS ... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS UNIT!!!! THE PULL UP AND DOWN COVERS FOR THE AREAS TO OPEN AIR FOR THE KITTY INSIDE. THE COVERS ALLOW FOR MY SHY KITTY WHEN MOVING AND THEN WHEN IN PLACE, I HAVE THE CARRIER IN PLACE ... I CAN LET DOWN THE "CURTAINS." ALSO ... I HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR A CARRIER THAT, IF I CAN AFFORD TO MOVE CROSS COUNTRY VIA AN AIRLINE, THIS CARRIER WILL MEET AIRLINE REQUIREMENTS ON ANY AIRLINE!!! ALTHOUGH THEY SAY A DOG CAN GET INTO THIS CARRIER, I CAN SEE ANY DOG OF ANY SIZE GET INTO IT!!! THE CARRIER IS OF "OKAY" SIZE FOR CATS ... NOT HUGE BUT OKAY FOR LIMITED TIME MOVEMENT. NEVER GOOD FOR ANY DOG ... I DON'T CARE HOW TINY!!!! NOT STUDY ENOUGH FOR ANY DOG ... MY CAT, COCO, IS A LARGE CAT BUT WILL FIT HIM OKAY BECAUSE HE IS MORE FLEXIBLE THAN A DOG.

Unbelivably Small!
This carrier is a high quality piece of merchandise, to be sure, but it is listed as being for a dog up to 20 lbs. My little 13 lb Japanese Chin was nearly twice the size of this carrier's capacity. I can't imagine what sort of 20 lb dog it would accomodate. If your dog is small enough to fit into it, however, it's sturdy, lightweight without being flimsy, and really good looking. I think a dog would be comfortable and feel secure riding in it. I'm sorry it didn't work out for mine.

Fashionable and Durable Small Pet Carrier
I am very pleased with this pet carrier! The fabric seems to be "water resistant" (not water proof perhaps/easily cleaned with a damp cloth) The colors are red and white with black trim and the construction is extremely durable. I was concerned about the two "end zippers", no need to worry. Extremely secure so my kitty cannot "escape". There are two stiff yet flexible 2 inch bands which are inserted on both "ends" thus the sturdy "dome feature" so my kitty is able to travel comfortably. I like the three "durable soft mesh ventilation areas". One on top and one on either end. Simply "roll" the exterior fabric and attach securely to existing VELCRO strips. Also important to me, this item is Airline Approved for "in cabin transportation". The item arrived earlier than I expected and was packaged very well. I highly recommend this pet carrier.
