Great for certain applications
The door gym is easy to set up and use. It is not for young guys building big muscles but it is perfect for me, a 61 year old man just trying to avoid any additional droop. The system does appear to need to be set up so that it pulls against the door frame, which normally means pulling into a hallway or other room. But really, what do you expect when using a standard door in your home. I have been using it for just over a month. I exercise everyday and use only a few basic movements. Some of the movements on the instructions are for people that need to be at the gym, not those doing some straining before they eat some prunes and put their teeth in the cleansing glass for the night. For my use it is very good. I can try to pull as much weight as I dare, and it has more to give than I can pull. It is sturdy and should last for quite a while. There are lots of plastic parts but again, this is not for the 25 year old jock. It is great for a toning or conditioning workout. It works really well for me; simple, good price, seems to be good quality.

Amazing first impression.
I work full time and live in a tiny apartment, this was tailor made for someone like me who doesnt have the time or money for a gym membership or a huge collection of weights. It got here quickly, set up was easy and quick, and the door opens and closes as easily as it did before, a perfect fit. I just set it up and tested out about 10 exercises really quick and i can already feel it in my arms and legs so i can tell this is going to be a very good investment.I seriously doubt this thing will make you look like the people in the commercial (who knows maybe im wrong) but i would recommend this to anyone who wants to get/stay in shape without having to deal with the idiots who frequent gyms.Final point, a gym membership could be anywhere from 40-70 dollars or more every month. The xfactor will cost you about 70 dollars one time, and you have it for life in the convenience of your own home taking up very little space. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Not sized for normal door width.
Simple Quick fix if you run into the same problem(door not thick enough).1. From exercise side of door Prop corner brackets as far back as possible and as close to the door itself as possible so it will fit between door and frame.2. Close door from opposite side of the exercise side.3. Cut cardboard and fold(to needed width, took mine 3 layers of cardboard so I folded accordingly) to prop X-factor brackets and prevent extra movement. (I just did the top ones. Can also do bottom brackets if wanted.)4. Enjoy your new home gym. With a hollow door it doesn't overwork the door at all. The frame of the door is where the X-factor gets the majority of its leverage from.Quality equipment, smooth resistance movements. Excellent for focusing on certain muscles. I've always had a problem working out my chest muscles without overworking my arms and the resistant bands easily fix that problem. Haven't tried the extras yet, I've been using the poster exercises without any need of the DVDs and Nutrition chart so far.Quick and Easy (mountain climber clips) to switch handles and ankle braces. If you're looking for different exercises this is a good way of finding it. I'm focusing on basketball movements and I can find many exercises to work the muscles I need by replicating the moves that need improvement.Excellent quality product that needs a size adjustment. Would have given a 5 out of 5 if it came fit to door.

Great workout! Great Value! Smooth and strong resistance bands!
Just completed my first workout and I love it! I almost bought one of those big $500 home gyms with 300lbs of weights that takes up half the room! I'm so glad I didn't. This fits directly on any standard door and takes up zero space!Very smooth but strong resistance bands. I definitely felt the workout in my muscles.I'll update this review if things change but for now 5 stars!

So Very Happy with this Equipment.
I'm an older woman and recovering from prolonged illness and wanted to strengthen and get back into shape. I compared Jake's Tower and this one before finally deciding to try this. I am so very happy that I made the right choice. Given that I am much older than the youthfully fit target group, I would like to add that Weider is missing MY TARGET group. For older people and people on disability home therapy equipment can run up to $2,100US (I know/ I checked). BUT with this wonderful appliance that I've modified most of the exercises to use in a chair. Thus, I can do most of the exercises that a physio therapist recommends. I doubt I will have any problems with the bands because I'm not (at this point) putting much pressure on ... BUT if I did, I would simply buy this product again!!
