Schatten HFN-C Passive Under-bridge Guitar Pickup/Jack

I already know Schatten pickups from the one I installed on my resonator (check that too if you want:  Schatten NR-2 PRO Biscuit Bridge Resonator Pickup w/MVC Jack, Vol ). I liked so much I decided I would try this one in my Yamaha classic guitar.I asked a luthier to do the work; the instructions look simple but there are some details to it. I think it would be best to ask for a pro to do the job.I just tried it plugged directly into my Roland AC-90. As expected, the pickup delivers a true sound, way more natural than any common stock piezo bridge pickup, and good feedback resistance in general. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I came a little close of getting some phase feedback; with a pre amp to "tame" this, it would be the perfection, I think -- but since I use a solid state "acoustic" guitar amp, I just fixed it with a little EQ work.I recommend the active version, or an external pre-amp if you're planning to use it straight in a mixer. But if you already have a pre or will use it in an acoustic amp like me, it's perfect. You can't beat the sound for the price. Actually, even forgetting about the nice price, I think it will be hard to beat the sound quality of this.

I purchased the guitar pick-up and the banjo pick-up along with the two-channed DI box. Since I double on these instruments it is very convienient: no unplugging, no adjusting volume and tone, and it only takes up one channed on the board.
