I bought these a year ago to use with waterpoof LED strips in all of my windows for holiday displays. I've been doing this for 11 years and windows are some of the more difficult places to keep things adhered because of the constant changes in temp and humidity. All these clips have stayed firmly secured. I attached them all with the adhesive on the back only and now I'm taking them all down so new windows can be installed tomorrow and holy moly, it's really making me work for it! Enough that I'm here now finally leaving a review. The adhesive on these things is no joke so if you want to hang lights without putting holes in your walls, these are it!

These little mounting clips were 100 times easier to use than the little stickers and screws provided with my LED light strip order. We used about 70 clips for 48 feet of lights. About 5 or 6 of the adhesive gels peeled off the clips with the red backing, making them useless. Once I saw what happened I was able to scrape the edge of the gels to loosen them from the backing with my fingernails if they stuck, but my teenage son who bites his nails couldn't do it because his nails are too short. The clips snap closed and can be reopened as well with a little work. These were useable right up to the corners of the room, which made the application look great and even. They are clear plastic and are totally invisible on the white, teal AND black walls in my son's room, which lends to a great finished appearance. We put up the LED lights tonight, so I'll have to give an update on how well the adhesive lasts, but it stuck VERY firmly almost every time, except where the wall was still damp from cleaning with rubbing alcohol and in the corner that my son didn't wipe clean beforehand. In one spot my son pulled the clip straight off the wall because he attached it off-center and it took off the paint (see picture). Overall, compared to the headaches and high levels of failure people experience when using the adhesives that come with their LEDs, I am very pleased with purchasing this item.

Worked well for hanging 10mm (standard) non-waterproof LED strips. The adhesive is strong enough it will probably take paint off the wall when removed.

LED light strip wouldn’t stick to drywall or ceiling. Finally installed with this clips and they’ve been secured for several months now. Highly recommend buying these if you’re planning on putting up lights in a room.

I bought these to install my LED string Christmas lights on my gutters. So far they have been up for 6 months and I have not had one fall off even through rain, snow, FL sunshine. I’m hoping they will continue to last the entire summer! If not, these are still worth the money and ease of setting up my lights! This would even if you have slightly bigger lights.

Alright, so these little fellas work great on walls and ceilings to hang the lights. They are not painfully obvious like some other products sold to hang LED strips, look good and holding power is excellent. This is another product that I will continue to purchase now that I have tested them. I have customers where they like this type of look for their IT projects we do, and for home use, they excel. We hung lights in our bedroom, where the LEDs were on the ceiling and the wall, depending on location. All locations are holding very well, even though they are spaced out pretty good. The reason for the "Easy to Use" being 4 stars is that they are kind of a PITA to open back up again. Won't stop me from continuing to buy them though - just be aware and I wouldn't use them in temporary locations.

I have mixed feelings about these ones. Just because i had to do the same job 3 times, and changed them to other adhesive hooks. Maybe If using these for just a light wire it would hold, but in my case I was trying to use them for outdoor light, which is pretty light, but didnt work. So the next morning after installing I woke up and was dissapointed to see all the lights fall down because of the weak adhesive. I decided to add more , and again it fell down . After applying 4 pcs of hooks every 20” of the wire , it fell down again. Screw it, i had to remove everything and bought another ones in home depot. Maybe it is because of the hot weather outside, or idk, but didnt work. And after I used them JUST TO HOLD wire in between other strong hooks, it came out again. Damn.

I love that the clips are clear, and the adhesive is better than others I have tried. The adhesive sticks very well to the wood I put the clips on, but the clip itself does come unstuck from the adhesive so I used the screws included to secure the clips (not shown in photo). The hinge on a couple of the clips were broken before use and 1 has broken during use, but the bag has 100 in it so more than enough. I have 4 rows of these clips on a frame that I use behind me when I teach my virtual classes and so far so good!

It’s really good product but found some pieces that didn’t have any gum.
