Vijiv Womens 1920s Midi Flapper Dress V Neck Grey Bow Roaring 20s Great Gatsby Dress

I ordered this dress in a small. The quality of the design and material was more than I expected for the price. It is lined and has a cute sheer accent at the bottom. I am 5'4', and bigger chested, so the small fit great EXCEPT for the chest. It was tight, I could used a sports bra and it would worked. The dress hit me right at my knee, the dropped waist hit me at a good location so it was not tight at the hips. There is a side zipper, but I was able to put it on by just slipping it over my head. The white sailor collar/bow is attached at the back and loose in the front for added "flounce" when you dance the Charleston.

If you are looking for a flapper or 20s style dress, this dress is a very nice option. It looks exactly like the stock photo. I wouldn't say it is the most flattering cut, with it's dropped waist, but very authentic to the time/era it is representing. It is fully lined. I was worried with the light color (yellow) that it would be see thru, but it was not. The yellow is a very soft yellow, almost buttery, which was very pretty. I would say my only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the neck tie comes untied and I always have trouble tying it in to the pretty bow shown in the stock photo. Since it zips up the back, the bow could be tied and tacked by the retailer, but again this is a small complaint. I would recommend this dress fully!

For A Little Background:I started watching Boardwalk Empire last summer and I truly enjoyed the 1920s setting and characters. One of my favorites, Arnold Rothstein was a big-time gambler from (you guessed it) the 1920s, who frequented Saratoga Race Course.I wanted a 1920s dress that wasn't all beads and sparkles, as I wanted a casual look for the track. I purchased this dress in yellow because I thought it would be a nice color to try. I ordered a medium (my normal size), and it fit perfectly! 1920s dresses are meant to be "flat" on your chest, so the fact that this dress checked that box was incredible.Even almost a year later, I am in love with this dress. I'm planning on purchasing the other colors in the future as well, because I'm so impressed with the accuracy and comfort of this brand. (I also ordered another dress from this brand a few months after this one; the black with lace, and it was perfect! this brand is fantastic).If you still are not sure if this dress is for you, just buy it!

Really cute costume dress. Nice fabric and color. According to the size chart, I would need a large, which I bought. It was mostly a good fit, but a little too body skimming at the waist. I am an apple shape. I probably could’ve worn control top tights and gotten away with it, but I’m going to a roaring 20s party, and wanted to be more authentic to the style and fit of the era. The only reason I didn’t exchange it for an xl is because I was worried that the arm holes would be too large. I would say that this is probably true to size if you don’t have a large waist. I ended up returning it and going with another dress.

I ordered this a full 2 sizes too large, just as I do for everything that I order directly from China. I ordered a 2x, in US sizes I wear a 14. Way too tight across the bust, I would have needed to be a A or B cup for it to have fit. I didn't return this only because time got away from me and it felt wrong. If you are a slender girl looking for an inexpensive 1920s or Downton abbey style day dress this is perfect, but anyone in the US who wears larger than a size 12, need not apply.

For reference: I have a 41" bust, 34" waist, 45" hips. I was having trouble finding a good size guide so I first ordered the XL (which was way too big), then I ordered the M and L to see if one of those fit better. The medium ended up being the best fit, and that is what is pictured.Both the M and L were a little snug on the bust, but they really fit about the same there. There is wiggle room at the waist and hips - with more room in the size L, as you'd expect. It comes a bit below the knee (I am 5'3") and there's a nice bit of flowiness so it's perfectly comfortable to wear sitting without worrying about the skirt hitching up too high! I like that the look is more "authentic" than a lot of the flapper costumes. It's very comfortable, I can't wait to wear it for Halloween!

I like this dress because it offers a bit more modesty than some others I found. At my age I want more of a midi skirt than a mini. The material is light, but not sheer. The arm holes are not cut too deep. Which is fantastic!The only thing with this dress, is that I don’t really know what to do with the tie. I a, sure I can get it figured out.For reference, I am 5’9”, 134 lbs, And I sizeD up to a medium to get more of that boxy twenties look.

Ha ha! Isn’t my daughter with Down syndrome, and autism, cute in the dress and hat.We did a roaring 20s theme night on our recent cruise and it was great fun. The dress was ordered in a small and fit perfect for my size small 105 pound, 4 foot 8 daughter the dress hit about mid calf I felt the material was quality especially for the price. This is not a paid review.

Just what I need for 20's parties that will be upcomming for me. This will be a great day dress, actually wanted purple but the red will do just fine for me. I would recommend this dress to anyone but go up one size.
