I never saw one of these until a few months ago. Whoever invented this was a genius! It's great for breaking up ground beef for spaghetti sauce, tacos or chili. A large spoon never did a very good job, especially with the tubes of ground sausage. It is made of a very hard plastic material. It says it's good for non-stick cookware, so I hope so. It's comfortable to hold, and breaks up the meat very easily. Sometimes meat gets stuck in the curved area, but it's not a huge problem. Tapping it against the pan usually dislodges it. Love it!
