Small but perfectly formed!
I love this dvd player. It plays a dvd from the moment you put one in (my old dvd player always brought up the menu first, meaning extra clicks before the viewing started). This is a VERY small unit but works perfectly, fantastic value for money :)ps. FYI I had to buy 2 different hdmi cables for this; the first one was the cheapest one amazon sells and it didn't work, so then I bought the second cheapest priced cable and the dvd player now works fine. I put this down to the first hdmi cable being too cheaply made.

A quality compact easy to use player.
I liked the fact that there are physical buttons on the unit - having the choice to use manually or remotely. Also the choice of AV connections - good if you prefer an old school mode of picture quality (more natural and warmer in my view) or HDM. Having a vision impairment I was able to see the menu for settings which is displayed in large print, an added bonus! All in all a good purchase and value for money with a free extended 3 year warranty for peace of mind to boot! I would recommend this product to others who want a simple basic quality dvd/cd player. Happy listening/watching folks!

Basic - but basically brilliant
Small, compact, good quality, no frills. For the price this is an excellent machine. Picture and sound quality are great for DVDs - and I found the sound quality was also very good for CDs, which I wasn't expecting. My only real gripes would be:1) Whenever I turn my TV to one of the BBC Radio channels on Freeview it turns on the DVD player! Obviously the same frequency is used by the different remotes. But this probably won't affect most people.2) The DVD player starts playing the programme automatically, so if, for example, you want to watch with subtitles you have to go back to the main menu to select these, as the machine's default is to start playing without them. But these are minor gripes, and I've knocked off one star from the overall rating because of these. On the whole it's a great little machine.

Got rid of Netflix, went back to DVD's
I gave up DVD's for the delights of streaming a few years ago. Lately though, I realised that Netflix et al were not showing what I wanted to watch. Seeing as 2nd hand DVD's are as cheap as chips I decided to go back to them, then I remembered I no longer had a DVD player to play them on. Spotted this one, which was a good price and it came via Prime the next day. Easy to set up and use, I've bought a bunch of DVD's and am all set for the dark nights coming when I'll be putting my feet up and watching some old (and new) favourites.

Smart and Easy to Set Up With Meaningful Instruction Manual
Everything seems great, it was easy to set up with the meaningful instruction manual. The only small criticism is the size of the text in the manual. Even with my reading glasses on I still had to use a magnifying lens to read through the manual so please try and make the text more user friendly. The unit is smart and small and the remote control has its buttons clearly labelled for ease of use. Would definitely recommend particularly on price as it was very reasonable from Amazon.

Great product
Ordered to use in bedroom so only wanted a small sized model. Fit perfect. Looks good, great price and was delivered within a couple of days from order. Very easy to set up. CDs sound good and picture on DVDs looks good too.

Arrived broken
I got this DVD player for my daughter to be able to play region 1 dvds as there’s a show that she wanted the dvds for but they never released them over here in uk. She’s turned it on and all the disc tray does is open then close then say it’s loading then open seconds later again. She tried putting in a dvd but it still did the same like it didn’t even attempt to read the dvd. She can’t even access the setup menu as it closes the menu when the disc tray closes giving her only seconds to attempt to navigate the menu whilst the tray is open. Not happy at all. Will be contacting customer services.

Few faults
Looks like I got a dodgy one.It plays dvds fine, no problems there. But it's supposed to resume playback from where you left off, and it only does this sometimes. Also sometimes when I put a dvd in, it's already skipped the first chapter and doesn't even go to the main menu. I couldn't be bothered to send it back for that as it's not difficult to press the menu and start again, but it's annoying.
