HP Laser Jet Pro M283FDW Multifunction Color Fax/Scan/Printer 22ppm 600x600dpi 250-sheet e-Print, Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi (Renewed)

This printer from HP is one of the best that I have ever purchased. It was affordable even though the toner can be expensive, if you shop around some of the off brand toners work very well. This printer had a very good operating system and is not difficult to use right out of the box. I like it because it functions well and is dependable you can even use the toner cartridges until the are completely empty. It is easy to set up, the color quality is great and will print, copy, scan, and fax. I really don't see any down side to the (color laser jet pro MFP M283cdw) I like it! I recently bought brand new toner cartridges from HP. My printer broke not long after. After spending over 300.00 I really didn't want to buy a different new printer so I ordered this refurbished one. It arrived within days and perfectly packed with all the original Styrofoam in an HP refurbished box. It came with all the original accessories and looked like it was brand new. It even had those clear protective plastic screens on parts that you pull off. I uninstalled my old printer (same model) and installed this one. It was up and running in minutes and printing perfect pictures again. BONUS it contained all the toner cartridges and the app is showing them as full. I would not hesitate to recommend this item!

I did lots of research for an all in one color laser printer and ended up on this refurbished unit because of the lower price. Unit arrived with four full toner cartridges already installed. I know some have noted that there was not a lot of toner in some units but I guess your mileage may vary here. On the subject of toner cartridges, HP is very clear in their manual that they change the firmware frequently specifically to foil your attempts to use non branded HP toner. The non-branded toner companies do a good job to keep their toner chips updated to work with the later firmware at the time of sale so my suggestion is if the printer is working fine, don't update the firmware and you can enjoy the much lower toner prices for non HP toner. The printed images look great. My only complaint is in regard to paper jams. There is an area that the paper can get jammed in where you do not have access to in order to remove it if you have to rip your jammed paper. I had to spend a couple days with some poking and prodding tools to get all of the ripped paper fragments out of the printer so that I could print again. I have only had one jam and it was partially my fault for experimenting with thicker paper but just be careful to avoid ripping paper that is jammed in the printer when attempting to pull it out. The printer has worked well in a wireless environment. So far overall I am very pleased.

I should have purchased a laser jet printer a long time ago! No more ink clogging. HP has made this thing super easy to set up! I had it out of the box and connected to our home network in minutes. Printed documents from our apple computers, pc computer and all of our “i” devices within minutes from initial set up. I don’t think it could have been any easier. Nice job HP! I’m super happy it worked because HP’s tech support is terrible. All tech companies have terrible tech support so that’s not really a down side… it’s just fact. I e had it for a couple of weeks so I will update this if anything goes wrong. I just really wanted to let people know how easy it was to set up. To many people on here leaving bad reviews about a product, when it was actually themselves who should have had a bad review… don’t leave bad reviews because you are not tech savvy… good luck on you printer search.

There is ZERO support for these machines. The printer works well for about 90 days (the return period), then it started having issues, multiple issues. I contacted the vendor because the listing stated that the machine had a one-year warranty. I was told to contact HP. I did and was told that the warranty period was OVER. I have repeatedly contacted the vendor and Amazon to help resolve this issue. PLEASE do not purchase a Certified Refurb printer unless you enjoy staying online at call centers and online attempting to get your problem fixed.

It is big bulky and heavy. just the way I like it The ink cartridges are well oversized compared to other printers. Easy to operate with the color menu and prompts.
